Decorating your room for Christmas?

Hello,

We will be at Disney OKW for 2 weeks in December and I wanted to have a mini tree and some indoor lights delivered to the hotel so I could decorate our room. Does anyone know what the policy is when it comes to room decorations?

DVC doesn't allow any decorations that can be seen from the outside.

You can hang up the lights inside your villa. Just no tape or tacks.

What size room? in the 1BR, there's nice decorating space in the dining area. Built in cabinets with shelves above.

We had a tree at BWV one year in front of the balcony door and we lit it and opened the curtains so people could see it from the DHS boat. Was that breaking a rule?

Yes. You can have the tree in front of the curtain, just leave the curtains closed.

Is this a fairly newly enforced rule? I have been to the Contemporary a few Decembers and seen many of the rooms at Bay Lake with holiday lights and decorations in lots of windows. We thought it looked fun and festive.

This is one of my favorite things to do!! I guess it's different in the values where I usually stay. I love the lights in the window that kind of 'guide' us back 'home'.

It's like any other Disney rule. But they announced it a few years ago.
