I'm horrible at visualizing things. I need to pick out a new comforter. Well, then that's probably going to lead to new curtains. I'm hoping to avoid painting if I can help it. DH hates painting. Furniture & carpeting has to stay.
I'll provide links to what I already have, and what I'm thinking of buying.
Have & staying:
1. medium blue wall to wall carpet
2. http://www.furnituretraditions.net/ Nostagila Bookcase collection pieces. Bought about 7 yrs ago? Its staying.
Paint: Currently a color called Cookie Crumb. Can't remember the company. Sort of a golden tan? That color I love more than anything though is Benjamin Moore's Stone House. A really nice neutral that goes well with blue. Maybe I can convice DH to pain.
Now, I need to replace comforter. I like blues, greens, browns, tans. Earthy colors. We are mid-40's. House is 25 yrs old. We live in New England. I would describe my style as migrating these days towards an updated country outdoors feel. Transitional but like Pottery Barn without the black & brown furniture. (can you say dusting daily? lol) Also not a fan of circles. Don't like Target's decor stuff for instance. Too young for my taste.
So, I found these nice plain quilts. Usually I do a pattern quilt / bedspread but nothing striking me right now. Found them on several websites. I think last years version is called Renaissance. This years version in larger dimensions for thicker mattresses seems to be called Josephine?
I like the blue or green. Maybe the taupe.

I'm crafty. I usally make something to make the room my own. But I'm stumped. The quilts seem a little plain, even though I want plain.
Maybe add a tan or brown edging or stripe? Or buy blue quilt - and cut up a matching green (or taupe) quilt to make pillows or wrap my cornice boards? Or some combo of that?
Help me visualize this. Anyone know how to make online mood boards? Could you whip one up for me?
Oh, also saw these pillows yesterday at Walmart. Colors closer & better in person. Horrible color online. lol Maybe use one of these & get ideas to make something else?
