Decorating a canvas bag

My DD starts preschool in Sept and I have a canvas bag that I need to decorate for her. I posted a question asking for suggestions fon how to decorate it and someone steered me here
I am new to the world of transfers, does anyone here have any pictures of bags they have decorated so I can get some idea of what it could look like.

We attended the Halloween event in California last year and I made the kids trick or treat bags. I bought the zip kind from Joann's so we could close them while on rides. The iron ons didn't stick as well on the bags as they do on shirts but they looked great (especially from a distance). These pictures were taken about two months after the event and had been handled a lot. They looked great for what I wanted them for. I am not sure how long you want them to last?!

FYI - doing this many iron ons on the bags was quite a job. If I decide to do these again, I think one or two would be a lot easier and more manageable.

Thanks that is super cute!! They supply us with a bag and it would be one she carries for the school year, twice a week. Thanks so much for posting the pictures, it really helps to get an idea of how things could look! I wish I had the crafty design gene, but I have to really work at it!

I bought them at Joann's Craft Store. They are very big. I almost thought they were too big but they were the only ones that zipped shut. After going to the Halloween Party, they were very full - so I was glad they were so big.

They measure about 1 and 1/2 feet wide and 1 foot high.

Thanks for the tips about Joanne's. I used to find cool bags in AC Moore but the last time I went they weren't that big. I will try Joann's. I make a new bag every time I go to the Pin Event in Sept. The DISigns stay on for a while. I have 3 different ones I use off and on now. The problem is they get dirty and after a few washings they get a little ratty looking. That's why I make a new one each year.
