Decorated doors and balconies at WL and VWL

DH and I are planning our first stay at a deluxe resort next April for our anniversary, and since we must continue with tradition of door decorating on each trip, I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to decorate a non-metal door at VWL. Pictures and suggestions for non-sticky adhesives are greatly encouraged.

I'm sure you're aware, deluxe resorts don't have a room window looking out into the hallway. Instead they have balconies, which I have seen decorated up quite a few times, particularly for the holidays with lights, stuffed animals etc.

Over the years and many stays at VWL/WL, I have never seen anything on anyone's door. I don't know if it's not approved, or what. But I'd concentrate on a balcony idea as housekeeping may have been told to remove door decorations.

That's what I was thinking too - focusing mainly on the balcony or patio, whichever one we get. Maybe I'll just pack a little bit of everything and decide when we get there. Thanks for the info!
