I am looking for a previous link for Cat. 8 on Deck 5. I searched all the back to #40 and I couldn't find it.
I am debating whether or not switching from a Cat.9 deck 2 to a Cat. 8 Deck 5 would be worth the extra $$? I like the location of deck 5, next to the kids clubs, but the location of the Cat 9, Deck 2 is also a nice location. I would love to hear others opinons on this...Thanks you so much.:earsgirl:

I am thinking about this too. Actually just wishing that one of the "good fairies" will read my mind and have DCL give us an upgrade to a Deck 5 room!

We just recently did something of the sort. After we tried for a 10 SPR and there were none left we received a Cat 9. My mom and I agreed that the little extra money was worth going up 3-5 floors. You are alot closer to the good events being higher and since the evelvators take forever we like to take the steps. That way you are right in the middle between the outside decks (9-10) and the dinner and night decks (3-4).

We just went through that scenario. Last year we were on Deck 5 and loved it. Close to kids' clubs and DD signed herself in and out. We got a quote for cat 9 on deck 2 and cat 8 on deck 5 for our next cruise and the price diff was $500. For that price difference we chose deck 2, DD will be older and knows the ship's layout from last trip. DS6 still requires signing in and out so that doesn't matter. DH still wants to be on Deck 5 but I can't justify $$. I did ask for a stateroom near the elevator so DD don't have to travel down a long hallway.

Interesting our price difference was only $200. Anyway we might go to a 6 once on board (I'm being very optomistic but oh well).
