I booked packages over both weekends. Which would you do?

The kids would only miss 2 days of school over Labor day but it could be very risky with the hurricanes they are predicting this year.

The kids would miss 4 days of school over Columbus day but the weather would be nicer.

Does anyone know what the difference would be (crowdwise) between the two holidays?

Hi,

I wouldn't let hurricanes influence your decision. Forecasters are saying this will likely be an active hurricane season, but that doesn't mean any or all of them will affect Central Florida.

Last year was an exception. In the previous 33 years that WDW had been open, there was only ONE DAY when it was closed because of a hurricane.

I do think it will be more crowded over Labor Day weekend, but as soon as the weekend is over, it will be empty.

have fun,
Bob

I'd go Labor Day - doesn't the free MYW deal end before OClumbus Day??
Buy the trip insurance & not worry about the hurricanes...you can always run (spoken from a true Floridian! :rotfl: ) Acutally we know a couple families that ran TO WDW last year when the big hurricane hit here---WDW had nothing....you just can't tell....

MNSSHP is in October, so I'd vote for that, if there's a party when you plan to be there. It's fun and something special.
