I have decided to go to Disney again next year (hopefully). I opened a (secret) savings account yesterday with $30.00. I really think I will be able to save enough to go at the end of September '09. Already have a 1st draft plan...lol!!!!

I have done the same thing, only my DH is my personal banker/keeper of my money (he cannot let me know for ANY reason where the money I give him to put away, because if I knew, I would dip into it at will). I have started taking money out each paycheck, and any money I get through selling things on EBay goes into that pot. I am trying to save up (or help my DH) save up for a Disney vacation for next Sept. as well. Good luck on your mission.

Well, I have a part time job that I make about $150/week. If I put back $30 from each check between now and then, I will have $1140. If I put back $50 each week I will end up with $1900. I will also try to put back a little here and there whenever my husband gets a larger than usual check. I opened up an online savings account with INGdirect.com and it is linked to our personal checking account. All I do is every time I get check in my bank, I just go online and transfer $30-$50 each time I get paid. We'll see what happens.

DLA, 1900 is enough to take four to disney in september?? That would be so awesome for you! I was thinking of going in September, but I was looking for 2 and it was pricer than that. Are you planning to stay on property? Are you flying or driving. I'm just so curious!!

Also, I live in Dallas- I noticed you are in Lubbock! Small world, huh??

Well, we do drive to Dallas then fly from there. I look for a ding fare from Southwest. usually around $200 round trip/person. I will be traveling with my mom also. That way we can split the room. I am also counting on the free dining.. Lastly, the $1900 was only going to be the bulk of the cost. I am sure I will have to use at least $600 more from my hubbys last check right before we go.

I may see if DH will let me take a solo trip. I think that would be a blast!!! IF not, I'd like to DH and his cousin's daughter (who is 15 or so)

Its actually going to be my, my hubby, 2 sons (6 and 2), my mom and 2 brothers. We decided to take advantage of the buy 4 get 3 free promo and we are now going in June. My part of the trip is going to cost 1950 with dining!!!! We are staying at a FW cabin. Im so excited!!!!!!

Yes, that 4+3 is a great promotion. I'm thinking of taking advantage of it myself! I haven't quite figured it out, but i would be there in early June if everything works!
