Hello everyone!

I have been lurking on the boards for quite some time, and decided that it is time for me to start writing! :) I find myself more at the dining reviews that anything else, because, well, I love disney food. (Can anyone else raise their hands??)

Our next trip to visit the mouse is 11/30-12/9. We wanted to spend a disney vacation immersed in Christmas cheer, but not Christmas crowds. :rotfl2: My DH and I have been married for 8 years now, and this will be our 5th trip together. We actually got married at WL and had our honeymoon at disney. So, obviously, WDW is very special to us. Our last trip was last September, and it was our DD (then 20months) first trip. On our last trip, we strayed from our disney home and stayed at CR, but we're headed back to WL on this trip and are SO EXCITED!!!

So, our cast of characters!

Me: 36 and loves WDW. However, I am not the official disney planner or fanatic. That goes to DH. Like I said, I'm all about the planning of the meals. It works out well. He plans the trip, I plan the food. Yeehaa!!! My disney favorites: the electric light parade, dole whips, WL (can we be the flag family, please????), and pizza (and sangria) on the BW. (and I may be still doing that w/o DH on this trip)

DH: 39 and a true disney fanatic. I truly think he could be a trip planner for disney. We've got the spreadsheets, the plan tacked down, but thankfully, he still realizes that we have a toddler, and all the planning could go to squat. To add an interesting twist to our dining report, DH was diagnosed with Celiac disease last winter. So, he will be dining gluten free. We have been so excited to learn how wonderful disney is with special diets--as this will be his first disney trip without the wheat/barley/rye. We will be on a search for good GF beers at disney. =) His disney favorites: scotch flight at Rose and Crown, character meet and greets, star tours

DD: will be 2 months short of 3 (not yet a disney child, but watch out!) at our December trip. She prefers her mickey/minnie stuffed animals to dolls (no influence from us), loves mickey mouse clubhouse, and had a dance off with Stitch at our last visit. Kid you not. Funniest moment of my life. Will have to find the video. Her favorites: characters (no fear from my kid), Dumbo, and anything princess related.

And here is our current list of meals for the trip! (Fanfare, please)
***disclaimer: this is our heaviest character meal trip EVER. Why? We have a 2 1/2 year old. She loves characters. The end. So, would I love to have a week of signature meals? Yup! Will I in a few years? Yup? Do I care at this point? Of course not! We're going to have a blast!!!!

So there you go! A trip heavy on characters and still a lot to fill in, but come and join us on the ride! It's only 3 1/2 months away!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm looking forward to your reviews! And as someone who loves many of the signature restaurants, I say enjoy the character meals while you can! I have very little interest in them now, but do I still have really fun memories from Garden Grill, Crystal Palace, and Chef Mickey's? Of course. ::yes::

And enjoy the Fantasyland Expansion! If you can, I would recommend trying the new Be Our Guest restaurant, since it sounds like it'll be incredibly beautiful and detailed on the inside. Plus, it serves quick service for lunch, which is easier to fit into the plans. :thumbsup2

Great suggestion! We were looking today to see if we could make a reservation yet for dinner there, but no option to do that yet. We will definitely plan on eating at the quick service there...regardless if we get an ADR for the TS or not!

Sounds like you guys are going to have a magical trip, with some great places to dine at. Can't wait for your report when you get back :goodvibes

I hope you post reviews while you're there, or else immediately!! LOL!

Strange request?

We are driving on 12/9 and the vacation starts on 12/10 (RIGHT there with you on "Christmas magic minus crowds") - and I am also doing my first mouse trip since being restricted to a gluten free diet!
