December trip

I know this has been asked and answered, but I am planning a trip to Disney for December 2006. I know it is extremely crowded, but when exactly does it get bad? Is it the week before Christmas or the week after. Or the whole month? We just got back (July), and the crowds didn't bother me, but the heat did! Thanks in advance for any input.

I've been there a couple of times in December and it gets pretty crowded a few days before Christmas Eve and gets more crowded every day to New Years

The week of Christmas, you will notice an increase every day. It just gets more and more crowded.

We were there last year for the holidays and the crowds weren't bad until after Christmas Day. We didn't go to the park on the holiday because it was pouring, but every day after that is was noticeably worse.

Where the holiday falls in the week may also contribute. Last year it was on Sunday, meaning a lot of people may have traveled on Friday or Saturday. If it were mid-week, I would expect people to take the whole week off and it would be busy all week.

We found one of the best times to go was the week or two before Christmas week (1st 2 weeks of Dec.). The year Mission:SPACE opened we walked on and waited approx. 2 minutes. DFi doesn't like the crowds, so it's perfect for us!!
