They've had, and have scheduled Early EMH at AK for the entire year of 2016 and now they've eliminated it for December. That stinks, we have our entire trip planned and now we'll have to reconsider quickly, because our 180 day mark is coming up. No EMH period for AK scheduled. Possibly they're hoping to Rollout ROL in December and they expect to be open late the entire Month.

If past history is any indicator, that schedule will change many times prior to December. I fee your pain, we arrive on December 1 and it's difficult to plan with such a preliminary calendar.

Oh, and I think AK AM EMH will be added later on. I could be wrong about that, I guess we'll see what happens with the night schedules

It may be too early or it may be that they are just slowly eliminating morning EMHs at AK.

The park is now open every night until late ... so probably a cost saving measure? *shrug*

My question is on the calendar it has AK closing at 5 in December. It would be helped with planning in park ADRs to know if they will be open later or not.

We are arriving in Dec as well. Honestly at this point I have given up trying to keep up with changes. I picked an order for all the parks and I think we will just stick with it regardless. We have hopper, so can always hop for EMH. So frustrating trying to plan and not having solid hours and schedules to plan around.

Hi.
Can someone please explain the calendar to me.
I am going December 26-January 1, an extremely busy time.
Each day says EMH with some days an additional DS am, MK am, Epcot am under it. What exactly does this mean?
December 27 says EMH and then Epcot pm (2) under it. What does that mean (same for December 30 HS pm 2).
I was hoping to get a MK night that was open to 1 am - 3 am some day in the beginning of the trip.
Can anyone please help me with above, I don't know what I am looking at for planning.

Thank you.

AK will definitely be open later than 5 many, if not all, days with their new night offerings. However, since they ARE new, no one knows whether later hours will be every day and what will constitute "late" in the various months.

The cast member I just talked to said the nighttime hours were only for the summer as of right now...but that all could change.

Yes 2 hours extra in park for pm and 1 hour early in parks for am.

Under EMH if it lists a park and "am" it means they have morning Extra Magic Hours and are open 1 hour earlier to resort guests. Parks listed with a "pm(2)" means that the park is open 2 extra hours for resort guests after posted closing time.
During your stay, it looks like you get MK from midnight-2am on the 30th.

DAK will be open at night from now on.

How late into the night will probably vary by Season.:)

They normally will change the park hours between now and then. Not sure how often they actually change EMH.

I know it's me, but I don't understand? For December 27, as an example, MK is open from 9 am - 10 pm.
It says EMH in bold and then Epcot PM (2). Does that mean MK doesn't open early or stay open late?
Does it mean Epcot is open 2 hours later?

Thank you but on December 30 it just says MK pm and then HS pm (2).

It doesn't look like any MK has a (2) next to it? I really have a block on understanding and making myself feel crazy lol

Please help, lol

Thank you!

On Dec 27, there are no extra early or late hours for MK, only the 2 late hours for Epcot. In this case, it means Epcot closes to non-resort guests at 10:30 as listed above, and stays open 2 more hours for resort guests, til 12:30.

Looking at it again, I wonder whether Friday 12/30 has a typo. All other Fridays list "MK am" and "HS pm(2)" 12/30 says "MK pm" (with no "2") but I wonder if it actually meant MK am like all the other Fridays.

@WEDWDW is right, that the calendars always change between when they're initially posted and when the month rolls around. I know that regular hours change a lot, I thought EMH days were a little more stable.

It's important to note that not all attractions in each park are open during either am or pm EMH. If attending, you should check which attractions are running.

WAY too early for the "finished" December Calendar(including EMHs).

I'm sure that's the case, but out of the blue, just for the month of December, they no longer have EMH scheduled for Mondays and Saturdays. They didn't do that when they came out in June last year.

Thank you very much for all your help. I appreciate it.

Let me ask this, so even at a very busy time, there won't be EMHs for EVERY park, every day?

So, for December 26-January 1 (Monday-Sunday), the only EMH for MK is on December 30 for one hour at night? Also, there are no EMHs for December 26 and NYE, December 31? I know this all can change but I am just trying to make sure I understand the calendar. Thanks!
