Ok, now that the rooms are booked I'm working on our schedule. We will arrive on Saturday Dec 3rd (after a long 2 day drive).

Sunday - MK (since that is really what we have been waiting for!!!)

Monday - (since we have to do a timeshare presentation early in the morning) we will do DQ and hopefully have a little pool time.

Tuesday - we will be moving to the Poly so we were thinking of doing AK during the day, going to Poly for a little nap and then Cindy's for dinner and MVMCP

Wednesday - Epcot and possibly MK in the evening

Thursday - MGM and possibly MVMCP

Friday - MK

Saturday - Chef Mickey's and then on the road :sad1:

So is this a an aggressive plan for a family of 4 (2 of them being kids 5 & 4?) I know that the kids will want to spend most of their time in MK (Mommy & Daddy too :teeth: ) We really only want to use 5 days of our 10 day MYW passes so that we have 5 days (and 4 plusses) left for next year - WooHoo!!!

Is MVMCP worth doing 2 evenings? I'm not worried about the kids stamina (Mom & Dad are another story) I don't want to overdo it but I want us to get the most out of our vacation!

Any advice (including criticsm) of our plan is most apprecaited!!!

I think one night is plenty since you have to pay extra to attend. We went 2 years ago with a 8 year old and had a blast. It's fun but it would be the same no matter how many nights you attend. You probably don't need two pictures and there are 2 parades each night. We saw everything in one night.

We'll be there too that week (hopefully) but I havn't made the final reservations yet.

Have fun!!!!

I'd do two nights in a heartbeat if my DH would let me! I'd do the shows and stuff like that one night and rides and whatever I missed the other night!

Good luck deciding!

We did 2 nights this past Dec. - the 7th and 9th- and wished we had only done one. We saw most of the shows the first night and the lines were so small during the day that we rode everything we wanted as much as we wanted- so no need to pay that much for rides. Also, the biggest crowds we saw all week were at MVMCP- it was way more crowded than I had expected. We had a nice time- the parade itself is spectacular- but I'm not sure we will even go again- but we definitely won't do two nights again. Neither night we went was 'sold out' -even though crowds were large- and they were on a Tues and THurs night. Why not do Tuesday night and then decide if you want to go THursday or not. I don't think weekdays usually sell out- I don't think any did last year. princess:

Thanks! That was what I was thinking.

Can you still buy tickets the day of the party at your resort at the advance ate?

There is a sticky on the top of this board that gives you lots more info :earsgirl:

I think you can buy tickets the day of the party at your resort- but I know you can at MK. THey had a place set up to the right before you go in the gates. There were signs- you can't miss it. Good luck! princess:

We did MVMCP two nights this past Dec. We are just two adults so we figured it would at least be a way to stay in the MK til 1am. We did mostly rides, shopping, hot cocoa/cookies and watched the parade the first night. The second night we watched all the shows, we brought the video camera one night. We wanted to be able to take our time and not worry about missing something. We had AP's so we didn't have to buy any park tickets on this trip, so that's how I justifited the extra cost for going two nights.

We will be there that same week this year....and have been there the same week the last 3 years...We went to MVMCP on Tues every year....We were able to do everything we wanted the fist 2 years but this past Dec was packed compared to other years...So packed that we have decided it isnt worth the extra money for it this year....That being said if you have never done it or its been a while I would definately go but I would plan on Tuesday and then if you want to go back on Thursday buy your tickets that day...I see you have planned accordingly but I wanted to say it anyway....That week is Pop Warner week...Avoid MGM on Friday it closes early for a Pop Warner event and they tend to get there early like lunch time....As far as POP Warner goes its not a very big deal you will see something that might bother you but no more than any other time....I think with teens people tend to dramatize it more....We have not had any major issues the past 3 years with POP and plan on going again same time.....just a few minor things but if you dont look for them you want see them so dont worry and have fun
