December Hours...anyone heard anything about Xmas week EMH??

So, I swore I would never set foot in a Disney theme park the week between Christmas and New Years...BUT...it's the last year for the Osborne lights, and my entire family will be in Sarasota that week, so my sister and I want to drive up and do a day trip at the parks that includes ending our day at DHS.

We are going to stay overnight in Orlando the night before (Monday the 28th) and hit the parks Tuesday the 29th for some fun during the day and lights as soon as it gets dark. My sister and I both just happen to have 1 day left on an old non-expiring park hopper.

Our original plan was to do our one night onsite so we could take advantage of the 7 AM EMH at the Magic Kingdom. We've done this before at Easter, and it's worked out great. We stay at Pop the night before, hit the MK at 7 AM and ride until about 10 AM when things get crazy, and we head to Epcot for the rest of the day. According to what's posted currently, the morning 7 AM EMH openings are pretty scarce. To people who normally go this week...is this normal? Will they not post these EMH until we are a bit closer to December? Is Disney cutting back on its morning hours? If there are no 7 AM EMH's, we'll probably just save $ and stay offsite, or just drive in early that morning and not stay over at all.

Thoughts on what is going on this year during the big holiday week?

Fully expect MK to have 7AM EMH (8AM regular hours) every day of Christmas Week again this year.

They don't normally announce this until much closer to those dates.

Thanks. That's what I was hoping for. I guess I can always book a room at All Stars or Pop and cancel a week before if they still haven't announced them I can't imagine Disney cutting anything back that week, but you never know. I've loved those 7 AM EMH at Easter

Hey there...

Last year they were adding hours intra-week. I remember being on the bus and hearing guests talking about "extra hours added for resort guests." "Extra Magic Hours?" I asked... They looked at me like I had 5 heads. After explaining, they said "Yeah, the front desk said they just added additional ones for tomorrow at EPCOT. Sure enough, the park opened an extra hour early.

Kinda surprised they don't do EMH from 1-3am on the 31st at MK like they do on the 30th.

Whoa, open to 3 am the week leading to Christmas? That's just wild xD

the 20th will be our last full day there this year, we have a very late departure the next day, so if they do the same thing this year would probably stick around to 3

Are the odds high that they will do MK EMH mornings every day this week during Xmas? Is there any point attempting an 8am breakfast then?
