Wow! Am I ever glad that I remembered to make this ADR! It was one of our best meals on our trip, and was the last time we visited as well.

We arrived to CP about a half hour before our ADR time and saw the very long line that ran from the check-in podium all the way down the front “porch” area outside of the restaurant. I stood in line while the family watched as they did the castle lighting ceremony (great timing!).

Upon checking in for our reservation, the hostess asked if we were celebrating anything special. I mentioned that it was my daughter’s 8th birthday the next day, and she winked and said they’d take care of everything. Very nice!

We only waited about 10 minutes for our name to be called. I have to admit that of all the places we dined that week, this was the most beautiful in my opinion- especially at night with the Christmas lights all over the place.

We went in and sat down near a window where we could still see the lit-up castle and noticed that our table was all decorated for Peanut’s birthday! Complete with streamers and mickey-shaped confetti. The kids were very excited! Our waitress Lisa, came by and explained that Pooh and friends would each be by our table to sign autographs and take photos. She also explained the buffet and took our drink order.

We were then free to head to the buffet. We were starving from not eating a meal since breakfast at Tusker about 8 hours prior, so on we went! We had a lull in character action, so we took advantage of that time to get our food.

The buffet was absolutely wonderful! They had a little kid section where my children could easily access their own food which they loved. We all returned to the table with a heaping plate each.

Momma had:
*Mediterranean Pasta Salad: good but not something I would eat too much of because the seasonings are a bit overwhelming
*Garlic Redskin Smashed potatoes: yummy!!!
*Mac and Cheese: yum!
*Fire Roasted Prime Rib: the most fantastic prime rib I have had in my whole life! As I write this, I am salivating just thinking of it!!
*Herb Roasted Turkey- very moist and delicious
*Roasted Chicken- very moist and yummy
*Slow Roasted Adobo Pork- very moist and great!
*Wild Mushroom and Chicken Pasta with Bail Asiago Cream Sauce- I didn’t really care for this very much as it didn’t seem to have much flavor to it.

Poppy had: Garlic Redskin Smashed potatoes: Great!!
Prime Rib: rave reviews from Poppy on this one! He loved it!!

Peanut had:
*Peel and Eat Shrimp: which she didn’t care for the fact that she had to peel to eat them!
*Mac and Cheese: great!
*Chicken Fingers: good.

Monkey had:
*Peel and Eat Shrimp: see sister’s comment!
*Mediterranean Pasta Salad: good
*Mac and Cheese: yummy!
*Wild Mushroom and Chicken pasta with bail asiago cream sauce: she really liked this pasta dish which surprised me.

The dessert selections were wonderful- a strawberry cheesecake, peanut butter chocolate dessert, tiramasu, and the ice-cream sundae station.

Between bites, we were visited by the characters. Pooh, Tigger, Piglet and Eeyore. They were so much fun! Monkey fell head over heels in love with Tigger and announced to us that she finally knew (at the ripe old age of 5!) who she was going to marry! It was hilarious! She kept blowing him kisses and he was acting very blushy and sweet with her! Too cute!!

Near the end of our dinner, our waitress came by with a birthday cupcake with a candle lit for Peanut, along with a birthday card signed by all the characters. This totally made Peanut’s day!!

Also near the end of our dinner we happened to see the Wishes fireworks which was a pleasant surprise since we could see them from our table. The girls hadn’t seen any Disney fireworks before, so they were very excited about this!

For an overall rating, I would give this an A! We paid with the DDP for this meal, but our receipt listed the total cost as $72.19 for the two adults, and $34.84 for the two kids. Pretty expensive if it would have been out of pocket, but since we were on the plan, it was great!!

A must do for us on all future trips!:thumbsup2

Great report! This is going to be our first dinner in the world and I'm glad it was recommended to us.
