December 30 and 31 - any old posts with details around?

Did not pay attention to NYE schedules this past year since I never ever thought we would try to schedule a trip to the world for NYE again! We had to cancel this year. Quite sad but my husband encouraged me to start looking at 2018!! Hotel booked (Dolphin). I figure I better gather as much info now while it is still fresh.

Any and all info on EPCOT on NYE.

I had such a great schedule and ADRs booked. We had an ADR at California Grill at 6:00 on Dec 30. Sigh

Don't have any links for a specific thread, but I researched all last year and have recent experience from our trip this past NYE! Do the dessert party at MK on the 30th no matter what time you do (this past year they were at 6:30 and 11:50). You get to stay away from the Main St and hub crowds and the plaza garden is roomy. We went the the later show and didn't leave until after OUAT. By that time, Main St had emptied somewhat and the line for a bus wasn't bad at all.

On our bus ride to Epcot NYE, there was a lot of traffic so factor in more time for that. Epcot definitely gets more crowded as the day goes on. Walking around WS isn't too bad, but it gets really congested and shoulder to shoulder inside the shops and streets in each pavilion especially if there are dance parties. Most people don't start waiting for the fireworks until about an hour (even a half hour) in advance and you can really see them anywhere.

The lines for counter service were really long in both parks so eat full service or at off times.

If want any more specific advice, I'd be happy to give it. That's all I can really think of right now, but feel free to let me know!

We had that exact reservation at the California Grill on the 30th. It was great, but cold outside and as my wife was cold......I became cold with her wearing my jacket. That was our first meal there.

Agreed! Mobile ordering was a lifesaver for us a couple of times between Christmas and NYE this year.
