We are taking our first cruise. I'm traveling with DH, DS (17), DD(12), my mom, and dad. (Is there an abbreviation for those?)

We are really looking forward to it. Anyone else with us?

:cool1:

I was starting to wonder if I was the only one  . We'll be there too. DS (11), mom and dad as well. We've got two cabins, and this is our 2nd time on the Wonder :cheer2: . Last cruise was mousefest 04!

We're going too! DH and self (age 50+ with kids all grown up and left home!) This will be our 6th Disney cruise and a 7 day Magic cruise already booked for 2007. Every time we decide to try another cruise line (Celebrity, Carnival, Princess, HAL) as soon as we return we end up booking another Disney cruise just to remind us how much better Disney really does it. It should be a great Christmas.
DDIB (Disney Does It Best! :thumbsup2 )

I was beginning to think we had the ship to ourselves. We are spending three day at POR before the cruise. Do they do anything special because of Christmas on the Wonder?

Glad to have company!

We'll also be on the cruise. We are so excited. It will be my DH and I plus our daughter, son-in-law, and 4 year old grandson. He is so excited  about going on the Mickey ship again. We have been told they really do up Christmas - lots of singing, baking cookies, special Christmas dinner meal, beautiful decorations, etc. This Nana is so excited as I can just enjoy everything with my family and not be in the kitchen cooking. :cool1:

We'll be on this cruise, too...
I'm traveling with DH, 3 sons (16, 13 and 11), sister and brother-in-law, two nephews (4 and 6) and my mom and dad.
It's our first time on DCL and we can't wait!

We will be there too!
My fiance and I are getting married in WDW the week before so this will be our honeymoon!
We've never been on a Disney cruise before so we are so excited.

We're also going on the 24th Wonder cruise. It will be our 4th DC. Myself, wife, son (11), daughter (9) and grandparents. 3 months and counting!

We just booked this cruise! Yeah!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

We are me, DH, DD-15, & DS-2.

Is anyone else going on this cruise? My 15-year-old DD is worried that she'll be bored and not have anyone to hang out with or talk to her age. This is her first cruise.

So, any other 13-17 year old girls going on this cruise?

My DD, 12, is worried about the same thing. I checked the DCL website and there did not seem to be a hugh amount of room left, so hopefully both girls will find someone.

A few days ago she told us that she's just happy that we've signed her little brother up for Scuttle's a few nights so she won't be babysitting on her vacation. I asked her why that would be a problem anyway since she intends on being bored on the boat.

I think she's just trying to be casual about this, but is actually excited...just not willing to admit it. She's a teenager after all.

My son could make friends with a DOORKNOB! He's so funny that way. He's generally very good at handling new adventures and new people, sometimes too much so. I'm not likely to see him at all once we get onboard. Last time he had the waitstaff trained to bring his food so he could head back to the Lab. It's a family vacation, but it seems we only get together for Bingo and food. LOL.

I'll be there, too - with my non-Disney DH, DD(6) and DS(2). I'm surprised to hear there was recently room! I booked several months ago and room was limited then?

Othen than babysitting, excursion, and Palo, is there anything we need to book now? Are there any things special to Christmas that you might need a ressie for that are a little less known?

We have our DS (2) already booked for Scuttle's for the last two hours each night of the cruise. (Mom & Dad deserve alone time, too.) So, maybe our sons will make friends...

Is Scuttle's the same as Flounder's? If so, my little guy will be there for the last two hours on the 26th! Maybe they can hang out, play blocks, and eat fruit snacks.

Sorry, must've had a brain malfunction. Yes, it is actually Flounder's.

Are we the only DISers on this boat? Come on, who else is going with us??? party: :beach:

C'mon Dis, there must be more of us. Our date is getting closer! Just a question, is everyone bringing Christmas gifts on board or leaving them at home for the kids? My son's pretty "hip" to Santa, seeing as he's 11yrs. I thought I might like to give him something though, rather than have to wait for getting back home. Mind you, a cruise is a good enough gift though!

I am probably going to bring a smaller sized gift for both of my kids but have Santa either come earlier or later at home. Carrying luggage souvenirs, etc. is bad enough. I can't imagine adding a load of Christmas presents to it, too. I think it is understandable for Santa to come at another time since he knows we will be cruising!
