Man I miss the Lights of Winter.

We started the tradition of meeting Orlando friends to cruise the World Showcase back when we happened to be at Disney World for Bob's work ON his birthday, just the two of us. We did drinks, desserts, and hat photos all the way around (although they get increasingly difficult to find on the second half). Now that Nick is 23, he's quite happy to be included.

And we always start in Mexico

He got in on the Hat photos, too

and then to China and the Joy of Tea, which were the tastiest drinks we had, by my estimation.

Then, when we really got serious about seeking out every country's hat, they'd gone with kitschy:

in 2014? Not even a Chicken in Lederhosen.

But to my delight, they've restocked the nice Alpine hats! Not that those interested Nick . . .

In 2013, to our surprise, the only fez to be found was stapled onto a fake camel's head near the entrance to one of the shops, so Bob improvised

But they returned with the brighter red by 2014

So once we'd finished the World Tour, we started wandering back to the front and I popped into the restroom. Had to laugh and take a photo of what I found when I came back out. At least they'd all waited all day before getting buried in their phones!

We big adieu to Bill and Julie and grabbed a few more photos of the 3 of us at the topiaries before calling it a night.
