Has anyone been to Disneyland in December, We were planning to go first week of December 2009. I know it will be cold which is fine, but what are the crowds like then? Does anyone know when you can book your hotel for then to?

I wouldnt mind looking at the half board option but can you book this anywhere else apart from the DLP website because I may well want to book the Santa Fe + half board but not with park tickets, can this be done on another website or is there another way through the Disney Website?

and Finally does anyone know what resturaunts are included in the half board option?

Hi there,

We went in Dec two years ago and going back in 2 weeks time. December is a busy month especially coming up to Christmas but the first week should be ok and less busy. It's great if you can go during the week because as of friday it can be packed.

Cant help with the half-board vouchers or booking, but would imagine you'd be able to book esrly next year.

Hi HolidayLover,

Elaine, Jackie, Elaine and Reid welcome you to DLP DIS board :)

We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread, or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each

If you have not had a look yet, DLP posting rules are here

You can get half board vouchers if you have booked any onsite hotel, with or without park tickets. However, I don't know if you can do this through Disney if you haven't booked your hotel through Disney. You can however, get room only prices from Disney by phoning their normal brochure booking phone number.

Confused - I thought room only was with AP or Shareholder - are they now offering this without needing either of those?

I believe they are now giving room only price if you phone - I'm sure I've seen other posters here say they have had quotes for room only in the last 3 months or so, without having APs or being shareholders.

Of course, the room only price might be around the same price, or even more expensive, than having a package - but thats DLRP for you isn't it :confused3 .

we went around 13th December 05 and I have never felt temperatures as cold, it was freezing !!! Don't remember the queues but I was pregnant at the time so we took it quite slow, I think I may have even spent more time drinking hot chocolate and eating just to stay warm :goodvibes

hi and welcome. you should be able to book in a couple of months. i havent been in december but i would definately go during the week. once you have your hotel booked you can ring the reservation line and add your meal vouchers

Thanks everyone Im going to phone Disney in a few months to get a price for the hotel, I want to stay in the Santa Fe and half the half board standard as these places to eat will be fine for me and a 17 year old, might even use one for lunch one day and counter service for dinner.

Does anyone know what months/dates are cheapest to go to DLP? or is it more or less the same price all year round?

Prices vary a lot for both room only, and hotel/ticket packages, from month to month, at DLRP. The cheapest times to go are between January and March (excluding half term holidays) and in September.

But there are often deals to be had even in December (ie this year, there were 25% off prices as late deals, for dates in October, November and December).
