Well, we are finally back (and recovered) from our second trip to the World in 2004. As a point of reference, "we" refers to my DW (aka DD2Disney), my mother, DS John (3) and myself.

Day one, November 30
We start out with our arrival at Pop Century on Nov. 30th. After checking in, DW and I headed to MK for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, where we had the chance to enjoy the park with such a small crowd in attendance. Among the crowd was a group of Disers who had met up to all ride the Buzz Lightyear ride together. Please forgive me for not taking more meticulous notes on this, but from memory I can only remember Ray Sharkey, Desiree and the world famous Dan Murphy. It was a pleasure to meet all of you even if my memory is short on names.
We went on the ride and all was well. I thought that I had done well in the game, (I had 18,400 points) but then Dan's car spun around where I could see his score... he had 68,000 points! So I shot him with my laser :) hee hee don't tell him.
Then the most amazing thing imaginible happened.... I got DW to go on Space Mountain. I didn't think it would work, but I convinced her to do it. In short, she did NOT have a good time, as evidenced by the fact that I still bear fingernail marks on my right shoulder to this very day.
I must say that having the park that empty was nice, and the free cookies and hot chocolate were great, but they have to come up with a new way to make fake snow; that stuff tastes terrible

Day two, December 1
This was our EPCOT day. It was also my mother's first trip to WDW, so we had to make sure she got to see everything. After doing Future World (and surprisingly, Test Track, which I thought would never happen after Space Mtn.) we headed to World Showcase on the Mexico side.
The highlight of Future World for me was in Ice Station Cool, where I finally got my revenge and made DW taste the Beverly Soda (she stood by and watched me drink it last time and I still don't have the taste out of my mouth :earseek: ) What a relief to know that I am not the only one on my family who has suffered through this and lived ;)
Eventually we got to World Showcase and worked our way over to Canada where we had our PS with the seating for the Candlelight Processional.
Le Cellier was thoroughly enjoyable, especially the creme brule dessert. Okay, everything there was great... the steak, the Caesar salad, the breadsticks... everything.
Then we went to see the Processional. What a magnificent show. Our celebrity narrator was Heather Hedley, a Broadway actress probably best known as Nala in the Lion King. She did a magnificent job, as did everyone involved. I have been in several shows like this (never on this scale) and this made me wish I could be in this one. A top notch production.

Day three, December 2
This was going to be our regular MK day, but none of us had the energy to do it, so we took day four's itinerary and moved it up. This meant some time off property.
We went up into Orlando to do some shopping at the two Belz outlet malls. We got some very good deals and we met a celebrity (well, kind of...). In the food court there is an Edy's Ice cream shop (Dreyer's to those of you in the West). The kid behind the counter could have passed for Serge from Beverly Hills Cop, complete with the "light in the loafers" thing going on; he even started out by saying "How you arrrre doing?" Do you have any appreciation for how hard it was to keep a straight face at this point?
After this little escapade we had lunch at Bill Murray's restaurant, Caddyshack. Im' sure that if there had been more than two groups in there at the time it may have been more fun, and the food was just OK, so I would be interested in seeing it when it's more full.
After this, we went back to the hotel because by now I had developed the toothache from Hades. We ended up ordering a pizza from an offsite restaurant, Gourmeto's. What a great pizza, and I love the Garlic Knots.

Day Four, December 3
This became our MK day. Just a routine day at MK, nothing overly noteworthy. Like I said, it was my mother's first trip to WDW, but growing up in SoCal, she has been to DL many times. We did all the typical stuff, although I had no luck getting DW back on Space Mtn. I tried to convince her that since there were two tracks she had to ride them both before making up her mind; as always my powers of persuasion bounced off of her like bullets off of Superman's chest.
We had lunch at Pecos Bill's and we all enjoyed it very much. I think they liked all the stuff you can add to your burgers, I just liked the burgers themselves (I don't go for all that extra stuff :earboy2: )
After the park we ended up offsite again for dinner at Logan's Roadhouse. I don't know if there is more than one, but the one we went to is in the parking lot next to Publix on 192, just outside MainGate. We had a fantastic meal with huge portions and great service. I would highly recommend it.

That's all for part one, Part two can be found here.....
