Sorry to leave you all, but I just switched from this sailing to a Cat. V on the 26 January 2013 Disney Fantasy. So now it's 2 Feb. 2012 Dream (Cat. T), 28 April 2012 Fantasy (Cat. T) & 26 January 2013 Fantasy (Cat. V) - - all DCL.

FYI: The cruise website and cruiser list will remain.

I am also leaving you and will be joining Taswira on the 1/26/13 Eastern Fantasy. Right now I have a Cat 5E booked, cabin 8188. That's one of the coveted extended aft verandas.

However, when I sail in February it is likely that I'll re-shop and upgrade to a Cat V.

I'm sorry I won't get to meet all of you on this cruise! Have a drink for me on CC for the "end of the world...or not"!

I too want to say, sorry you guys are not going to be sailing with us. Would have enjoyed meeting you both. But, I hope you have a GREAT time on all of your sailings. ( Wait a minute - you will be sailing with Disney - DUH!!!! Of course you will have a GREAT time!!!!)

Merry Christmas everyone!!!

I made myself stay in bed until the girls finally woke up. It was about an hour of just trying to relax, but straining to hear them. It is the first Christmas they really get that there is something to look forward to. At 3 and 4 they enjoyed the toys, but this year the anticipation hit!!!

We had a great dinner and Dale is in the kitchen cleaning up after my day of cooking (I do clean up as I go, so it isn't too bad!). It dawned on me earlier that I won't be cooking Christmas dinner next year. I'll have to figure out what will work for us. There will probably be a few ADRs made at 180 days, and then I'll drop as necessary depending on our flights.

I start that schedule.............again.............first of January. I work Wednesday / Thursday & Friday.............7 hours a day. That is a 4 day week-end...................EACH and EVERY WEEK-END!!!!

Oh wow! Sorry to hear about your mom, but hope she is doing much better!

I did some serious damage with my after-Christmas shopping. I did get a mini tree for next year for our cruise and WDW, and I also found cute stockings to use for next Christmas morning!

Did everyone enjoy yesterday? It was pretty good around here, mainly hanging out with family and nothing else.

My family has never cruised before and I haven't been on a ship since I worked for another cruise company years ago. So excited to be a pax this time around!

Since dh was off today, we finally sat down to figure out what we are doing pre and post cruise.
Sounds crazy, but we have to start making ressies in a week when we can book our rooms through DVC (11 month window).

It's looking like flying in 2 days precruises to get over jet lag. First meal, cuban sandwiches at Bongo's

No clue what we are doing the night of the 22nd, we want to possibly go to Cape Canaveral and explore the space program. Maybe a family party, seems my Miami family has all moved to the Orlando area.

We will check in the 23rd to the 27th at WDW. (Having dd's birthday in the parks)

Then off to family and mum's big birthday bash/family reunion in North Florida before heading home. Retrun date will be determined by airfare.

How far in advance can we make ADRs? Probably need one for Christmas Day.

Ok - we are both from Washington, cruising the same week, and staying in the parks the same days. Small world!

Can any veteran cruisers help me with the hotel questions for the first night? We are flying in the day before. What is your experience with staying at the Hyatt or staying at WDW in a resort? We will stay in a value for 4-5 nights post cruise so it is not a big deal to stay on site or not pre cruise. (If that made sense).

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

ADR's are still 180 days out right? Mark your calendar for June! I'll be doing the same thing for post cruise.
