Ok, I am already over this cold weather! I would LOVE to be planning to get on that ship next week! Too bad it is a year away, but then again, it is just over a year away. Much closer than it was when I first joined this thread!

The national news just said we have had more snow than Chicago, and I live in the mid-south. CRAZY! When it was scorching hot this summer people were begging for the cold, now they are begging for the heat again.

We have been crazy busy lately as I am sure most are this time of year. Shopping is almost done! Dale travels for work next week and we have Christmas parties the next weekend and after that it will slow down. I love the parties though. One is a cookie exchange and the other is a gingerbread house decorating party. The girls will have good practice for doing it on the ship next year!

I'm looking forward to seeing the excursions available in San Juan! Are they usually posted about 6 months out from the beginning of a new itinerary?

I start that schedule.............again.............first of January. I work Wednesday / Thursday & Friday.............7 hours a day. That is a 4 day week-end...................EACH and EVERY WEEK-END!!!!

Walls aren't too thin are they???.....Good! Place ain't bugged is it??...........Good!! Lean in a little bit dude..........a little more..........I ain't gonna bite....just a little bit more........................................................DUDE lets don't get too friendly.........back off some.........jeesh.........ok that's better..............I got one word forya dude.................NAPS. Yep NAPS........it'll work wonders forya!) Works for me!!!

Looking around to make sure no one is looking.................. good all clear. Company looks down on naps. They are a great idea though.

We are close to being ready for Christmas. Most of the shopping is done. I still have to buy DW something. Usually by now she has dropped some hints of things I can get her...............but not this year. You know what the means.....................WAL-MART GIFT CARD!!!! The place where America loves to shop!!!

AmandaRG not sure about the excursions being posted on the Disney website for San Juan. DW and I are looking forward to see what Disney will offer too.

Kevin, I know what you mean.............my company doesn't like naps either. So I went out and bought a pair of those glasses that have the eyes painted open on the lens. I sit at my computer with those babies on.............and behind those glasses my eyes are closed and I am dream land!!! Every now and then I tend to snore a wee bit (just ask DW)..............just told ol' bossman I have a sinus condition!!! He is clueless!!!!
Only problem with that this year, I lost my old pair that worked great. I had to go out and buy a new pair, and these don't match my eyes. I had to get a pair at Halloween time and they make me look like my eyeballs are falling out all the time. They are on a spring of some sort...............I think the ol' bossman is catching on!!!

Has anyone noticed that we are 41 pages on this thread and 694 posts and we are 1 year 1 week and 2 days from sailing?
Any guesses where this thread will be a year from now?
We also have an excellent web page!!! and I think a FE coordinator. Looks like the only thing left is a DIS meet on board and to leave. You are all packed arent you since we are leaving Saturday arent we?

Just had to say hi!!Hope everyones holiday preparations are coming together and life isnt sneaking up on you all like it is me. So after a not so great morning I had to DIS a bit before moving on to something else. Got to run.

My suitcase is still empty. My to do list is still full. I guess not enough pixie dustSo back to work. Got an extra day off this week...cleaning...still dont have the tree up...at least I have a snowman on the door...the nativity and candles on the mantle and some clean clothes.
I am more tired now than if I had done 3 deliveries.

Whew! We just finished up a crazy week - and one we won't have to repeat next year!!! Our oldest DD was in the church musical this weekend and they had several rehearsals last week. Next year we should be sailing, so it won't be an issue!!! A friend and I were talking last night about escaping it all next year and I told her that we would be...to the Caribbean. She didn't exactly like my answer!!!

I'll finish up the few items I need to buy for Christmas later this week. Hoping for a quiet week the next few, though. We are planning a low-key Christmas this year.

We are going to stay for a few days after cruise as well. I'm figuring out every scenario to use points and make them stretch. Would prefer a 1 bed, only enough points for a studio. DD9 has a birthday on the 26th. Do they still let you ride twice if it is your birthday? Otherwise we would leave earlier.
I wish our use year was different as I have points to use that end in September that would have made this so much easier.

Anyway, I have time to figure it out. I took a spill on the ice yesterday and injured my pride severely. A few other body parts are hurting as well.

That means NWDad gets to help do all the wrapping !! He slipped once the week before Christmas (sprained his wrist) and I had to do all the wrapping so this year it is his turn. (Hmm, he still needs to push me through WDW for 4 days at Christmastime, but I am not breaking my leg just to give him that chance, lol.)

And if he does not drop some major hints for gifts to his dd9, he is getting a sleep mask and white noise machine. She thinks he must be tired from all that work.

We are just a year away from sailing!!! We'll be getting ready to head to the port about this time next year.

This past nine months since we booked have gone pretty quickly, so hoping that the next year doesn't drag!!!

I am headed to a couple of fabric stores tomorrow to get some fabric to make dresses for next year. Hopefully I can find some geat stuff.

Christmas is almost here. Our girls have been asking almost daily if they can open their gifts. I can't wait to see all the decorations next Christmas onboard and at WDW!!! They were putting them up when we were there last month and that was still a few days before MVMCP started.

We watched the Dream float out, as well as the christening online. It was neat to see.

I wish we lived close enough to visit but I don't see it happening, since we will be there in May.

Unofficial excitement prior to today is okay too.

Official excitement means budget time for us. This weekend we look at excursions to see what we might like to do, add it up, and divide by 12. otherwise we might be next year with no excursion money.

Then stick airfare money aside from the third paycheck this month.


Doing the happy dance because making a budget means it is really happening.
