I'll add us to the list after I actually book. I'm afraid of putting the cart before the horse, jinxing myself and ending up not being able to book for some reason. I have the Hawaii cruise to pay for first, so can't book this one until that's taken care of. Definitely planning on booking though!

With waiting to book this cruise until next year there's a huge risk that the price will rise. Would hate to see you not be able to book it because the price has gone out of your reach.

Definitely! Mine (Cat 5A for one person) has already gone up nearly $550 since I booked earlier this year. To anyone considering this cruise: If you can swing the deposit soon, do it for the price protection. Prices will keep rising because people are willing to pay.

Yes, I tried to book a few days in WDW and it told me that it would be like $3,000 for 3 days. That's why I figured maybe it wasn't bookable yet. I'll try in a month or so.

Since I'm a newb to Disney cruisin' can someone tell me that when you go to Castaway Cay if you pay to eat on the island or is it part of the cruise? Thanks!

The BBQ on Castaway Cay is included. If you want specialty drinks or alcohol, you have to pay for that (goes on your key card/shipboard account).

The countdown has now begun. That is going to be a busy time of year with the holidays and all, but the cruise will be worth getting everything set for the holidays before we leave. Don't want Santa to miss our house.

I'm still totally excited for the cruise. I was just taking a step away from the DIS for a bit. Every once in awhile I just get fed up with people who like to make fun of people, you know? In one such thread a poster even admitted that they would love to give wrong info to people who post questions, but does often go in "and stirs the pot" to get arguments going.

(OK, I understand the posts about breaking rules, etc. It's the all out making fun of others I don't understand)

Sigh...so I step away at times. Takes all the fun out of what should be...well....fun, huh? That is why I haven't posted.

I am still looking forward to my cruises. And I do see we have some new cruisers on our Meet Thread here. Welcome! If you see me on the ship, you'll know me because I am one who still has that "Disney twinkle of joy" in my eye.

Really sorry you are experiencing some bad people on the dis. It's a shame we live in a world where people enjoy being mean spirited, self centered, and downright nasty. I would have reported the dis'er who posted they give wrong information to stir the pot. That's is not what the boards are supposed to be about and I would hope the moderators would step in on this person and others like them. Nothing wrong with not understanding some one else's passion, and it's ok to disagree, no need to be nasty about it and give out wrong information. OK. I am done and off my little soap box...

You should still come back and visit us where you are welcome to talk all you want about what you love about disney and what makes you happy.

I do love Disney, and most of all - I love Disney cruises! I met my best friend through our mutual love of Disney. Some of my best memories are those from being at the parks with family and friends - or even being there solo. I've only done one cruise so far, but I had the BEST time. My first comment upon getting off was, "I want to do this again!"

I do love Disney, and most of all - I love Disney cruises! I met my best friend through our mutual love of Disney. Some of my best memories are those from being at the parks with family and friends - or even being there solo. I've only done one cruise so far, but I had the BEST time. My first comment upon getting off was, "I want to do this again!"

This will be our 4th cruise. We were on the Magic for both the eastern and western, and we did the first 5 Day double dip on the Dream in May. Looking forward to experiencing the Fantasy. The 5 day on the Dream just wasn't enough time to see all I wanted. The 3 sea days on this cruise will provide plenty of time.

We have made friends on all our cruises and still keep in touch via facebook. Just haven't been able to cruise together again. That's why I like the roll calls, they give you the opportunity to meet people before cruising.

This cruise will be my first Eastern. I have a Western booked for the April before this cruise, and my first cruise was a Western.

I liked the Western quite a bit as I love ruins and was able to do the Tullum Ruin tour. It was wonderful (discounting getting there and the over-sell tactics on the tour bus). I did do a trip report on it if anyone is interested. Unfortunately none of the photos I'd posted show up as they were on an old server.

For this cruise I am thrilled to have the extra at-sea day. Since I've not done an Eastern before, I can't say I only picked this one for the different itinerary for a change of where I've been. However, this one having a different itinerary and stopping in San Juan certainly did add to the decision-making process. Ha ha - along with that "end of the world" thing of being on CC.

Welcome back! Sorry that you have run into some not-so-nice people!

I know that there are some out there that get my blood I also just come to the meets and check in and then leave the DIS.

We are still SO looking forward to this cruise. I wanted an Eastern, as we just did a Western. I want our girls to be a bit older for another Western and do the ruins tours to add to our homeschooling experience.

We are three days into our second week and things are going well. We had been planning for our youngest to start back to preschool a few days a week but she might just stay home with us full-time.

Hope all that are dealing with back-to-school have a smooth transition!
