Hi Barb,

Do you know if the ship docks within walking distance to the fort and Old San Juan? I have only been there once and that was back in 1985.

I have no clue where the ship will be docked so I can't help you.



I'm now back home and need to get in planning mode for our AK cruise on 8/9. I think I better start to think about packing and getting everything together. I also have to cancel 1 hotel room but can't remember if it's for Seattle or Vancouver - better look into that.

I was curious too where the ship will dock in San Juan. We want to tour the Bacardi factory and depending on where you dock will make it close or a pretty good ways a way.

Btw, does anyone ever leave their kids on the boat on dock days? My DS will have just turned 2 and I'm wondering if it would just be too much to try to bring him into port.

While waiting for this cruise we will be doing the Hawaiian cruise at the end of April. It will be oour 45th wedding anniversary and we are looking forward to it. The Hawaiian thread is very active right now even though we have 9 months to go.
Looking forward to sailing on the new ship. We just love the Wonder and the Magic.

Yes, through Dec. 31.

Caylie from Small World vacations just wrote me back and said that December 2012 is not available yet for WDW. She told me to check back in a month or so.

Looks like you can book up to December 8th but not the week before the crusie. Just keep checking.

You can always check on Disney's website as well since you can book hotel rooms on their website.


ETA: I just checked their website and this is the message on the hotel booking page:
Walt Disney World® Resort reservations may be booked online for check-in dates up to and including December 31, 2012.

That was where I got my info.

I was able to do my online check-in for our 4-night in Oct! Now to get busy with the outfits I need for that week!

We also started homeschooling today. One day done, 179 to go!

I skipped right over your post and never saw it until now.

I have a feeling the TA wants them to book a package or they only do bookings by phone and that's why the TA said Dec. wasn't available to book now. That's the only reason I can think of for the TA giving them wrong info.

Did a dummy reservation online for Dec 12-15, 2012 and there were no rooms available in any of the room types. Maybe you need to call but online not available.

Gotta love Disney IT......NOT! It would be nice if they actually knew what in the world they are doing since it says right on their website you can book thru 12/31/12.

My TA and I talked about this today!!!

DH is in IT, I'd love for him to be able to work there and straighten it out!!! Bonus being married to a castmember, but also having the website WORK!!!!

I really wish everyone working in their IT would try and navigate their websites and have as much trouble as we all do and then maybe they would fix it so it's user friendly.

I completely agree, and I used to be a programmer. Apparently they do not have QC checks on code before it is released for use.

I worked at the Disney Store at Christiana Mall for 8½ years and liked it when I was there but saw way too many changes and most were not for the good. I left just before they sold to stores to The Children's Place. I wasn't going to work there making a piddly wage and not get any benefits at WDW, DL or DCL.

I'll add us to the list after I actually book. I'm afraid of putting the cart before the horse, jinxing myself and ending up not being able to book for some reason. I have the Hawaii cruise to pay for first, so can't book this one until that's taken care of. Definitely planning on booking though!

I was hoping the website would be magically working this evening...we are going to the parks after the cruise (am I crazy?? ) and would love to get it booked...but no, back to waiting. After all - I only have a year and a half to plan.
