December 13-18 rental deals!

Anyone have any good deals for that week? I found a full size for $100/week from alamo last time and it spoiled me! I'm not having good luck this time

December is brutal this year. I booked back in Feb and its only gotten worse so far. I do note that alot of the companies do not even have coupons or promos extended out that far yet, so it will get better, no doubt. I'd book something now that you can live with [i.e. best you can do] and just keep working it as we get closer. I can't imagine the cars stay this high, as reports of prices diving just before the time period can be found after recent renters had lamented the prices even a couple of months ago.....

Alamo isn't too bad with a Costco discount, if you're a member. I have a cross over reserved for $260 for 8 days. Enterprise is $180 for a compact through carrentalsavers.com.

I'm a loyal Alamo/National customer, but they are currently very expense for December right now. Just to make sure I have something - I booked with Dollar for 12/6 - 12/12 for a mid-size = total $150. Their sister company Thrifty had the same price. That's something I can live with, but I hope Alamo or National come through. I just love the ease of check in and picking out my own car with those two companies.
