December 10, 2009 3 Night Bahamian Cruise

Hi everyone - I will echo the thanks for the great FE gifts! We all loved them all, and our friends were so overwhelmed that their DD (Bela) was included as well. Thank you to EVERYONE!

Julia (DMMArla), my DD put in your CD as soon as I unpacked it last night. I think she will be stealing it, so I'd better download to my ipod while she's at school today.

We had an amazinng time, and although the weather wasn't great, I thought it worked out well. Sorry your VR was rained out, Jennifer. We did re-book while there, and will be going for a 7 day in November 2010 and can't wait. I'll have to update my countdown tracker!

We loved the service, especially our server team of Roland and Nelson. They were wonderful and fun, and treated our kids extra special.

Today I took the day off from work so I can catch up on laundry and get everything all packed up. We are hosting Christmas Eve here, so lots of cleaning to make the house presentable.

I can't wait to go through all the FE gifts again today while the kids are at school to really check them all out.

UGH - so sorry! My kids were there, but not that much. Were the kids there a lot during the cruise?

no! That's the thing......none of the kids liked the club!!! We basically had to force them to go each night during dinner and even then we got paged after 15 minutes!!

I guess I'm lucky my kids didn't go to the clubs at all! We just did a bunch of stuff as a family (so no adult areas for me this time!) and it went by so quickly, they didn't feel like going. Okay by me. Last cruise DD8 went in the club a lot and loved it.

I want to say thank you all too for such wonderful gifts. Everything was terrific. All of the holiday items will go to use in the next few weeks. I was worried about the wreath making it home, but it made it and nothing was damaged. We had a very creative group.

I wish the weather was a little better too. It was mostly warm enough for us but we missed having the sun. I don't think we will cruise in December again. I am glad we got to see the decorations but we have a huge family get together at my house on Christmas as we haven't started to get things ready yet.

Sorry to hear about the kids getting sick. We had 2 kids in the Oceaneers club and they had fun for part of the time but didn't spend as much time there as on ourt last cruise. I think part was the length of the cruise and they are getting a little old for the activities in their age group and would have preferred to be in with the older kids. I hear Disney is changing this so kids can select to go with the next group up. We had one of the kids get sick but it was only after the heavy rocking of the boat on Saturday night. A lot of the adults were a little green too. By the time we got home everyone was feeling fine just a little bobbing from the motion.
Our servers were phenomenal. We had terrific ones on our last cruise and asked for the same ones this time. One of them, Stephen was on the ship and we got him. Our family just loves him and they asked me to rebook on a cruise where they could have him as our waiter again. He thinks he is going to stay with the Wonder so they all want to do the Mexican Riviera. We also liked the variety of food on the menu. I liked the fish items a lot but didn't care as much for the beef. I thought some of the items were a little adventuresome for some people but we all like different types of food so we enjoyed it. We also said we liked Indian food and the wait staff brought us some really good Indian food that was not on the menu in addition to what we ordered from the menu.

Thanks everyone!! What a great first cruise!! My husband even LOVED it. He's even talking about the DREAM now!! We had great service. Loved our servers D and Z. Our state room was spotless. We had great table mates. We went to Cabbage on our own--and loved it! It was clean and we felt totally safe. The water was beautiful--the sand was so much softer than Castaway Cay. The vendors were not too pushy--but helpful--and took no very well. The cab ride back to the port--was a little scary, but funny now. We loved snorkelling at Castaway Cay. Took great pics. My husband had N/V the last day after eating Cookies, but no one else was sick. I'm hooked. When can we go again?

My daughter was in the Oceaneer's Lab the last day. When I picked her up she said she didn't feel good. She spent the rest of the night vomiting with diarrhea. She never had a fever, so I chalked it up to something she ate. It's very interesting that the kids in your party were sick, as well.

no one had any diahrea or fever......my kids started puking about 9am on Sunday and puked all day long...my sister's kids didn't start until 4am on Monday....and she only puked 2x....my brothers kids didn't start until the landed in Chicago. We wonder if it wasn't just the motion because it was pretty rocky saturday night. who knows....everyone is back to normal now so that's all that counts.

Thank you for all of the great FE gifts. We had a wonderful cruise without the kids but were very excited to get home to them. They also loved the FE gifts.

Our food and servers were great. Neither of us experienced any sickness.

I would also like to say thank you all for the great FE gifts. I'm almost done uploading pictures and videos to the web, so after those are up I will be starting a trip report about the trip.

I have to start planning my March 6th, 2010 7 night western cruise. I'll be on the Magic for my birthday and after that cruise I'll be platium castaway club member.

All the pencils (thanks for the sharpener too!) and the books and can coozies, photo albums, scrapbooks, christmas ornaments and wreaths, ALCOHOL , candles, shotglasses, playdoh, flash lights and night lights for the kids....everything! It was just amazing and you girls were so wonderful!!

And a very special thank you to the Jackson Family who i don't even think were on this thread!! I think it was someones parents.......but THANK YOU SO MUCH for the adorable anniversary card and photoframe! It was beautiful and thoughtful!

I'm glad you liked it. That is one of my favorite Christmas songs as well. That is also our kids' favorite Christmas CD - Christmas Island by Jimmy Buffet.

Since we are sitting in a bunch of snow today and finishing the decorating for Christmas, I need to play the cruise CD to remember where we were just over a week ago. Sigh....
