Dec resort discounts

Does anyone know if Disney normally offers discounts on resorts during the first week of December when it is slow?

From what I've heard it's no longer slow like it use to be if you are going get your reservation now. Weekends book already because of Mickey's Christmas Party. The AAA discounts for GF were gone already. I wonder if there will be discounts they have in past offered them.

There have been in the past some room only codes. AAA rates and rates for Annual passholders usually.

we have gone the last two years and gotten a fla resident rate but havent seen anything come out yet. we are planning on the coming the first week in dec also

I'm also looking for Dec. discounted rates or packages (hoping to travel the 2nd week). I thought they might extend the 5 for 7 deal, but it doesn't look like it so far. If I'm not already a member of AAA, is it worth joining for the discounts? Is it only worth it if you stay at the moderate or deluxe resorts?

I think it's worth joining AAA just for the Disney discount. I think it cost me around $60 to join AAA. You can get resort rooms for 15 - 20% off.

I went the first week in December last year, and I got an AP rate at the CBR and the BWI. The year before that, I went in mid-December, and got a code rate at the POFQ. So, yes, there usually are discounts available in December.

We went at the beginning of Dec last year from the 3rd through the 5th and stayed at the POR for around $86.00 a night. We booked it under a Florida resident discount! We try to go up every year at the beginning of Dec. for a quick get away before the Holiday madness begins! Looking forward to doing this again!
We're also looking foward to those rates again!
