Dec. at the Resorts

I love MK in Dec! DH and I were married in Dec. and have been to WDW in Dec twice in three years of marriage. We just returned from our May trip with DD and have now decided we MUST stay in the park next time, Dec. '05. We will only be able to stay in a Value this time.
I was wondering what the resorts are like at Christmas time. Do they decorate as well? What about the Value resorts? We will be arriving in the early afternoon and would like to do something fun without spending a lot of money or using a day of our park-hoppers. Do any of the resorts offer anything special in Dec? Our DD will be 3 1/2 at the time.
Any other December resort suggestions/ideas? (Any budget ideas?)

WL is incredible around the holidays. The lobby is really well done.

Grand Floridian, Boardwalk, Yacht & Beach Club also have nice decorations.

All resort lobbies decorate for Christmas. No matter where you stay, take time to visit the deluxe resorts to see their decorations. If you go for a character breakfast, try 1900 Park Fair in GF. You'll be able to see their decorations at the same time. Go to BW and YC/BC and see their decorations. Maybe a dessert at Beaches and Cream would also be fun at that time. Go to AKL to see the animals and their decorations. WL is also beautifully decorated as are the Villas at WL. You don't have to spend money to see all of this, you can spend a day just touring the resorts to see their Christmas decorations. Many of them often have some entertainment such as caroling and other music.

There is a special tour at Xmas time to see all the different hotel decorations. We had seen most of them before but the tour made it extra special and full of great details and we took so many awesome pictures!

I agree, WL is great around Christmas. I guess it seem so great to me because I'm from FL. The entire northwest look of the whole area makes me feel like I've gotten out of FL and have made it up north for the holidays. WL is my favorite resort at Christmas.

Don't forget DTD they always have wonderful Christmas Programs Scheduled (free) and also great decorations.
