Dec. AP rates/pkg deals

Does anyone remember if the 7 for 4 deal was going on last Dec.?
We're going 12/4-12/11-I already have AAA ressies for WL-3 nigths & Poly GVC 4 nights, but am waiting (like everyone else) for AP rates...BUT we don't have an AP yet...so I'm thinking about other possibilities... (e.g., 7 for 4 deal-maybe 7 nights at Poly GVC???)

I haven't given up on AP rates though!!

I'd love to know rates people got last year for this time period, specifically for WL and Poly. THANKS!!

No. They weren't offering the 7 nights for the price of 4 last December. They had a different offer called the Winter Dream Makers Package. Having done both pacakge deals last year (Fairytale and Winter Dream Makers) I can tell you that we paid more to go in December than in July on a package deal. While I don't recall the actual breakdown I think it was somewhere around a couple hundred dollars more in December. Since we didn't stay the same number of nights on both trip I can't give you an actual comparison.

I believe in July 2003 we paid about $1250 for a king bed room at a moderate for 7 nights. In December 2003 we stayed at the same moderate resort and same room type for 13 nights and paid $2350. The prices above are for two adults only.

My guess is that they will offer another package deal; but I wouldn't count on 7 nights for the price of 4. But you never know. It could happen.

Thanks for the info...I guess I'll just keep my fingers crossed tightly for the AP rates to come out and stick with 5 day park passes!!

Roughly when would AP rates or other deals for December 2004 come out? Aug? Sept? Oct? Etc? I just want to make sure I don't miss out on checking out possible discounts. I don't think my family has ever booked a trip with a special deal or AP rate, but I'd like to see if I can find some good deals.

My understanding is that last year the codes for December came for AP came out August 28. I think the package deals came out sometime in August last year, too. I remember for the package we hd to book by September 22 or 28. It was something like that.

I am using Dreams Unlimited this year; and it is actually the first time with an AP. They will apply the codes for me when and if they become available.

Keep checking Mousesavers and the Disboards for updates on codes. There are a lot of impatiently waiting to see what happens.
