Dec 5, 2009 -- now traveling to Tortola

If I can do anything to help please let me know. Do you have access to a fax machine? I believe I remember seeing you can fax in orders too. I have also been asked to call back from them and I thought that was odd but I guess they get great business?

Awwe so Sorry Hadley, Maybe you could email them with what you want and converse that way :confused3

Yo two are both so sweet. I feel silly worrying about it--I mean we get to go on a great vacation and we have so much to be grateful for you know. I just had decided not to spend the money and then today we found out we are getting a big refund on utilities payments (over 1000 Euro) so I thought I would do soemthing after all. I think I need to call because I want to customize a bit--add in abottle of wine for David and ask if the candies can please be things we cannot get here (pretty much anything from a rather extensive list of stuff we miss including anything with peanutbutter, york mints, whoppers, milk duds, goldfish crackers, cracker jacks, etc.). So I want to take the duffels she has on the website and fill it half with things for the adult tote bag and half with things for the duffle:rotfl: and then be a little picky about the treats. I am probably too difficult for her to want to deal with anyway now that I read what I am asking for:lmao:

I was looking at that thread too and informed Derek it would make a really great birthday gift.....Did you see the different types they are offering? There's a cute wristlet and 2 different styles of bags.

OK torture me even more, details, details (I didn't see the other styles).

Here's something interseting--a little mystery you can all work on while I sleep tonight:cloud9:

I notice a bunch of the meet threads have a irishcowboy as the last poster when I am on the list of meet threads. So I started clicking on them. All of them have the same "subscibring" thing and nothing else. I think I counted 8 different threads--all sailing from now until the end of the year. Why the ehck would someone do that:confused3 I am truly baffled.

I know that he/she is listed on the stickies for the cruise meets on the links to each year's cruises so maybe he/she just likes to see what's going on cruise meets close to cruise dates? Not sure why anyone would want to subscribe if they weren't on it but to each their own. There is that tool you can just click on to subscribe to threads so you don't have to write "subscribe" on threads that would be a lot easier in my opinion but I guess not everyone knows about it.

I went with a generic DCL logo on the front. This is our 2nd cruise and Dh is planning on more that's why I went with the logo I got from the magnet thread.

I have to come up with something crafty for the back. I don't have a cute Disney font to write something for the back of the t-shirts. Or now what I even want to put on it.

Hanover can you show me where to see the other two styles of bags.

Very interesting about the irish cowboy....:confused3

I found these in this thread:

I don't remember the pricing but it's somewhere in that thread. I just skimmed enough to find the pictures. If I had more time, I would get the prices for you but we are about to head out the door.

There's a lot of other info in that thread about locations, spotty availability, and a lot of oohs and aahs!

Maybe he/she wants to get some excitement built up for a future cruise. Given this odd behaviour, perhaps that individual hasn't even been on the cruises noted as past cruises. Or, perhaps the person has accomplished what they wanted to do, and that is to get us talking about him/her.

Hello, I only booked a little over a month ago but am WAY excited to be going on this cruise.

I have booked the Peter Island kayak excursion in Tortola, but most likely will be going it alone. Anyone else planning on this excursion?

I'm booked along with my wife for that one! She may drop out however depending upon the needs of the kids at that time. There is one other family of 4 also participating.
I've wanted to see Peter Island for a little over 10 years now, so I'm looking forward to it too.:cool1:
Let us know more about you cruiseyaca. Where are you from? How many are you travelling with?
There are many fantastic people on this board. Stick around and get to know some of us so that we're not all strangers, but friends already:)

Welcome Cruiseyaca!

Mommyoftwininfants--Carmen posted the pics that I'd seen on another thread. I think they are $175;$150;45 for the tote, smaller purse and wristlet respectively. I think I like the tote more because I'm not so sure I love the tassles on the medium size one. I saw that you can get a AAA discount on them and I'm sure they probably have a Disney Visa discount too since they usually are offered together at DTD (but I'm not 100% sure about the Disney Visa). Lots of people say they fly off the shelves and it's easier to order from Disney merhcandise but I'd like to see them in person before buying one.

We bought the last of what was on our list to buy for the cruise--dress shoes for Keegan. We found some at Walmart that were $22 and bought both black and brown. He'll only wear them for dinner on the cruise and to church if we are lucky. He's an 8.5 mens now so that's the cheapest I could find. I hate to spend good money on them if he's not going to wear them much. He wouldn't be caught dead in them at school. I know no one will be looking at his feet (but us) but I didn't want him wearing his white Nike shox in pictures while wearing a nice black suit on formal night and khakis/sports coat on semi formal night. It feels good to have nothing left to buy before we sail (besides a case of water near the port). Then again we've yet to set out our outfits and try them on...

After visiting my last job site of the day, DW joined me at the mall & went suit pants shopping. Bought a new tie and shirt as well so we're all set now for formal/semi formal/Palo nights. Needed new pants anyway for Christmas so now I'm set. DW recently purchased a new dress for Palo (which I have yet to see:woohoo:) Kids have their clothes starting to go into the suitcase. Things are getting closer!:cool1:

I am having a fit here... I must have all of these:yay: I know that sounds horrble but they can be my annivesary, BD, Mother's Day and anything else I get a present for next year present! LOL

Wuv tigger: do you know about www.wordle.net? If you type a bunch of text into their box and press the Go button, it will create a cool Word cloud. You can change the font, colors, etc. to have more control over it. I am thinking of using it for some custom shirts. Just a thought....

I remember reading on the DIS that people pack their FE gifts in carryon, but I don't remember why. Was it for those who had food in them, or all FE gifts? Trying to figure out if it's necessary. I'd rather pack all of our cruise stuff into checked luggage that we just store while at the World.

Also, can we have candy in our flight carry-ons anymore? I know liquids are out, but I can't remember if food in general is out until you go through security.

Thanks for the help!

I will check them out for the t-shirts for the next cruise :rotfl:
I am CONVINCED that dh is booking one onboard.
AND he might even buy DVC ;) time will tell
