It's by far not confirmed yet, however if my husband gets the job he's trying to get we'll be going down dec 26/27-30/31 2012 hopefully at a deluxe (Epcot area maybe)

My question is, we won't know about the job until September, will it be too late to book with a DDP the soon before we would leave as its such a busy time. If you think it's too late to book Deluxe, maybe a Mod?? Any thoughts???

I would book now and pay the $200 deposit. You will know long before the 45 day window for paying off the package based on what you wrote, so you could always cancel and get your deposit back.

If that were the case we wouldn't have a problem but the website says the deposit is $1,157.20 and we won't have that kind of money unless he gets the job, plus we need a flight that is nonrefundable

Its $200 deposit if you book a Magic Package. Its a much larger deposit for room only bookings.

We have been to WDW 3 of the last 4 Christmas. We usually book in July or August. However I have monitored room availibility just for knowledge sake right up until December. For the most part it seems like the most popular resorts start to be sold out about the middle of October, the less popular a month or so later depending on promos. There will be lots of rooms available in September. It is possible that a couple of places could sell out by then, but unlikely and there will be rooms somewhere.
