Debra & Brian's Fairytale Trip Report 12/03/10*Completed Wedding Day Report W/PICS*

DEB!!!!!!!!!!!

Just wanted to post we have EXACTLY ONE WEEK and we will be in the Disney cruise terminal waiting to board the DREAM!!!!!!

I am so beyond excited!!!!!!!!!!!

We had so much fun just seeing her come into port, can you imagine what it will be like actually getting to board??? :woohoo:

I saw you got sick too, maybe it was due to us being freezing cold standing by the water for an hour and a half :rotfl:. But the experience was so worth it!

We are leaving on Sunday to come down. I literally just got back from Florida last Thursday, I should just move back with all of the trips I've been taking!
We are now staying at 3 DVC resorts :goodvibes, (is that crazy?) Villa's at Wilderness Lodge, Kidani at Animal Kingdom and then after the cruise Saratoga Springs. We kept adding days and couldn't get into just one resort. I call it our Honeymoon DVC tour!

Have an amazing honeymoon aboard the DREAM!!! :yay:

Bon Voyage!

We are back from our honeymoon at WDW and aboard the new Disney Dream. It was such an amazing trip! Everything went so smoothly and we had some great pixie dust. The new ship is simply breath-taking and A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!!!

I took a zillion photos and will post some soon. I was thinking of doing a trip report over on the Cruise boards but then I am not sure I will now because it was our honeymoon. :confused3.....decisions, decisions!

When we got back a big package was awaiting us. It was our photo CD's from Randy which included an unexpected album full of our photos. I have no idea if this was included in our package or not but it was a wonderful surprise. I can now get started on the most fun parts of our trip report.....the Wedding day!!!!! then I will start the honeymoon report.

Here are a few photos from the Dream for now :wizard:

Here we are on the main deck where the huge video screen is

AND

OH MY!!!! Ariel & Eric Just Married Pins!?

Haha.. I must have those immediately! :rotfl:

Thank you!!! We learned about the buttons from another couple we met on the cruise. They are slightly smaller than the parks buttons but sooooo cute!!

Love the pics!!

And it's funny, I just showed Brian the Eric and Ariel pin and said, I'm so jealous!! If I had known they had those I would have changed my whole wedding to a cruise haha!!

We were technically on our Honeymoon on the cruise and we just walked up to guest services and asked for the Just Married buttons and they gave them to us. They seemed confused at first because most of the crew members are new and the Translation was almost lost in confusion, LOL.
Now you will just have to take a cruise!!!!!! You must go on the Dream, it is so amazing I can't even describe it in words.

When we were off on our Honeymoon to WDW and the Dream, a package arrived for us with our Professional Pics from Randy. I know that I have been holding out of posting about the wedding day until the pictures arrived but now I have no excuse at all, LOLOL. I am a true procrastinator at heart people!!!!! So here it goes, I can hear the drum roll in my head..................................................

Wedding Day

I had lots of trouble falling asleep the night before the wedding. I forgot to post that I bought a small, hand-held steamer to use on our wedding garments and the veil. Since we drove down, I knew our things wouldn't really get very wrinkled and I didn't want to shell out even more money to have them professionally steamed at WDW. I hand steamed them and I think that they came out great with what few wrinkles there were, the veil was pretty wrinkly so that took the longest. So I forced myself to sleep hoping that the wake-up call would come and that it would be on time. Don't you alway secretly think it won't come, especially when you know that you have to be somewhere important???
So at promptly 7am, the phone rang and DH and I got up and I took a shower first since I had to be ready for hair and make-up and he could take his time. I took a shower, washed and dried my hair....in the middle of drying my hair my mom arrived with Brian's mom and the kids in tow. We were all meeting at our place since we had the most room by far and my mom, my daughter and Brian's mom were getting hair and make-up as well.
I quickly finished drying my hair hoping it wasn't frizzy, which always happens to me in Florida. I decided to make myself a bagel since we had a kitchen!!! I made the bagel and then there was a knock on the door. It was Beaute Special who were exactly on time at 8am. There were two girls, Laine and Jackie. Laine was there for everybody's make-up and Jackie did everybody's hair. My mom went first with make-up while my daughter sat to have her hair done...I don't have any pictures of these because Randy hadn't arrived yet, which I'm pretty sure was supposed to be at 10:30.
When my mom's make-up was done she switched to Jackie for hair, I think my daughter waited and I sat down with Laine for make-up. She was so fantastic. I loved her so much and she made me feel very comfortable, like an old friend. We discussed make-up styles and I said I wanted hollywood red carpet make-up since it isn't everyday that I have a professional doing it for me. I told her I 100% wanted false eyelashes!!!! :yay:
The false eyelashes look really fantastic in photos, but they kinda hurt at first when they put them on, lol. It feels really weird and the glue seeped into my eye a little which made my left eye slightly tear throughout the day. Brian had to keep telling my to stop touching my face because it would mess up the make-up :rotfl: what a guy!!!!! For the record he has never before or since been worried about me "messing up" my make-up!
It seemed like we were playing musical chairs with the hair and make-up getting done. It was finally my turn for hair and I had forgotten to bring my hundreds of inspiration shots that took me months to compile :scared1:. No worries though because all I said was I wanted a half up/ half down style and Jackie seemed to get it immediately. Sometime during this hair and make-up trial Randy and Stan showed up at the same time. Randy started taking pictures right away and here are a few of me with Jackie doing my hair

So in the middle of me getting my hair done...lots of chaos and things were happening in the room. All of the women are getting their hair and make-up done in the living room area and Brian is getting ready in the bedroom, Randy is taking pictures, Stan is videotaping, well everybody forgot about my son Bryan who was the Best Man....he was sitting in a small chair in the living room corner on his computer. By the time everybody realized he hadn't even started getting ready yet, it was already time for them to leave to head over to the contemporary to catch the first limo with wedding guests.
Everybody dropped what they were doing and rushed to help him get dressed. Stan and Randy helped him get his clothes together and Stan even tied his tie for him :rotfl2:. I'm glad that I was occupied with getting my hair done or else I may have had a slight heart attack with the stress over it. Here is a pic of Stan tying Bryan's tie, LOLOL
DB008812-3-10.jpg

It really was priceless...another picture of them walking down to the car...looks like he is hanging his head in shame
DB011412-3-10.jpg

...I felt so bad later because I found out he was really nervous about the wedding itself. Not wanting to mess up his parts.

The boys left and then I was finally ready to put my dress on. Here is a picture of it hanging up...oh how i wish that I had ordered that special hanger off Etsy for this pic....

My daughter Amber's MOH dress, I let her pick this out herself but I picked the color...
DB013712-3-10.jpg

When I came out from getting dressed there was a knock on the door again. This time is was flowers that Rosie, our Florist, had sent over. So cute and with a hidden mickey in our colors also
DB014512-3-10.jpg

It was time to say goodbye to the Beaute Special girls. My mom later told me that they stayed so they could see me in my dress...they really were sweet! Here I am about to give them hugs

Here is a shot of some of the wedding jewelry with my shoes

The pics look great! You really were a beautiful bride! I know what you mean about the hanger from Etsy...I've left it too late now to get one now! Oh well! That is so funny about your son! How nice though that everyone helped him get ready and he looked fab in his suit! I cant wait to hear more! :goodvibes

Love the pics! Everything looked beautiful! And the shoes, is that a little Mickey on the bottom?? Too cute!!

Now it was time for us girls to go outside and wait for the limo to arrive. By this time Randy and Stan and the boys had already left so I have no pictures of this part...here are some pics before Randy left though

My daughter and I....she is so shy, and really did not like having her picture taken. It was really cute watching Randy and Stan trying to get her to respond though.
DB021312-3-10.jpg

Here she is like...oh no, you caught me, LOL...

I like this photo because it kind of shows some of the Micky Christmas decor we had in our room...a mickey light up we had on our hallway mirror
DB019912-3-10.jpg

I think Randy was bored waiting for us to arrive because he included some shots of cakes and things inside Francks...lol, I won't include those but I thougth it was funny.

Here is our names on the wedding pavilion sign
DB026412-3-10.jpg

Our limo arriving
DB028112-3-10.jpg

So to back track slightly. Everybody left us girls at OKW to wait for the limo to pick us up. It was me, my daughter, my mom and Brian's mom. We walked outside and had our first fans congratulate us, lol. This was so much fun throughout the day, just having so many random guests say congratulations and tell us how great we looked and asking us if we were really getting married at Disney. These are all some of my favorite memories of the day.
We were waiting outside and I was trying to avoid random puddles by holding my dress up in the air. I had forgotten to have Brian leave my flat blue shoes with me since he took all of those things with him to the wedding pavilion in a bag. All I had was my monstrously high white heels and I didn't want to fall down the stairs, OKW does not have elevators :scared1:. So I threw on a pair of old brown flip flops, way to plan right??? But, they were very comfortable and hidden under my dress and I didn't have to go barefoot or anything like that.
The limo finally arrives, slightly late because of the earlier incident of Bryan not getting ready in time, lol. We pile into our limo, my first time ever in a limo! It was very cool inside, all black with water to drink and cool glasses. My daughter and I were looking at every button and wanting to press them all. We contained ourselves and tried to enjoy the ride. Now was the first time that I actually felt a little bit nervous. My new mother in law was flirting with the limo driver...he had the coolest mustache ever!!! Kind of like Tom Selleck back in the day. My mom said he looked just like a cousin of mine and he so did!
We pulled up at the Wedding Pavilion and there was Randy, Stan, our wedding planner and a ton of Disney people waiting for us. They told me to get out last so I waited for the driver to open my door. It was just a little bit awkward getting out of the limo and I was hoping that it wasn't all caught on tape. They also wanted me to show off my ugly brown flip flops which I did but now regret because I know it will show up on our wedding video!! Hindsight!!

I will spare you the flip flop and awkward getting out of limo pics..... :flower3:

Here is one of me and my daughter just after them and I have no idea why my hands are out like that
DB028712-3-10.jpg

Here is us walking over the bridge...how did he get this pic?? I don't remember this at all, did he stand on a latter, LOLOL
DB030712-3-10.jpg

I love this shot because it's my dad's first time seeing my dressed in my wedding attire and he was taking a pic of us
DB031112-3-10.jpg

Almost there
DB031312-3-10.jpg

I was feeling even more nervous about now. They shooed us into the Bridal Vestibule to "hide" us, even though all of the guests were seated and Brian was in the Groom's area. It's very cool how all of the wedding pavilion people coordinate everybody's whereabouts and make sure there are no surprises. I forgot to say earlier that Brian did not see me in my wedding dress and I did not turn around to see him in his tux before the wedding. We were originally going to take some shots together before hand but logistically it just didn't work out that way so we wanted to be surprised. :cloud9:

Back to the track now, I was directed into the Bride's Vestibule, The Rose Room, along with my dad, my daughter, the wedding planner and the officiant. I'm pretty sure that Randy and the DFTW photographer were in there too, lol. He must have been because here are some shots of us....
Me walking into the Bridal Vestibule with our Officiant, Ron Rosenzweig, holding the door open. I don't remember this at all

DB035212-3-10.jpg

I had a miniature photo frame attached to the bouqet that was 2 sided. It held pictures of my brothers and I when we were small. None of my brothers could make it to the wedding and it made me really sad. Having these photos with me helped a ton
This side held a photo of me and all of my brothers on our old staircase

This is the other side and it is of my brother David and I, the last picture of us taken before he passed away. We were really close and I am so glad I decided to have this picture with me
DB035712-3-10.jpg

My dad, my daughter and I awaiting the call to head into the wedding pavilion
DB037312-3-10.jpg

I feel like I look like a giant next to my daughter and my dad! Both my dad and my mom are so thin. I used to be way thinner but slowly gained weight after my son and daughter were born (twins!). I always say to my parents...."why didn't I inherit the skinny genes you have???" I feel like the mailman's kid or something, LOL.

When we first arrived in the bridal vestibule, Ron went over the wedding events with me, my dad and my daughter. I have no idea what he said, lolol. I think I just nodded my head in agreement to whatever he was saying. I was very nervous at this point. I even had some sweat break out on my forehead. Randy being the ever ready professional that he is took a rolled up washcloth from a basket and said this is your dabbing cloth. If you start to sweat give me a signal and I will dab your forehead. What a guy! Amazingly enough, my makeup did not even budge during my mini sweatfest!!! LOL

More to come soon!!! Uploading to photobucket is truly a nightmare. It is so difficult to go through the 4 cd's that Randy sent, finding the right pictures, upload them to photo bucket and then try and write a semi-coherent trip report. Hopefully my memory will hold up because I was seriously in a daze during the entire wedding!!

I didn't even realize I had that ugly hanger on the dress until I looked at the pic :headache:. I should have hung it at least with a wooden hotel hanger.
It was very cute that everybody helped my son get ready, lol. I have some more pics of it that I will post.

Love the pics! Everything looked beautiful! And the shoes, is that a little Mickey on the bottom?? Too cute!!

I did put hidden mickey's on the bottom of the shoes :goodvibes. Nothing fancy but I liked that they were there. Hidden Mickey's are always a good thing!

Before I continue my report I wanted to add a few more pics of us getting ready and the organized chaos that it was, LOL. These are all very candid shots...

This is what the kids were doing in the middle of everybody getting ready, lol. Gotta love kids and their computers right?
DB000212-3-10.jpg

Randy also took this time to take a few artistic pics of our rings
DB001212-3-10.jpg

I did have a wedding band but since my ring is in a weird shape it had to be cut and fitted along with my engagement ring to kind of make it one ring. We bought a wedding band that was very similar in style to the engagement ring and they cut out the middle diamonds and permanently attached it together with my original ring.
You can kind of see the detail here

If you dont mind me asking, where did you get those mickey cuff links from? I love them!!!

Like so many other brides on here have said......I feel like once I finish my Wedding Trip report all of that excitement from the wedding is over. I know that is not the case but it just feels like a closure that I don't want to happen. :sad1:

As I type this I am sitting in a cold house wrapped in the Disney Dream blanket the gave us on our cruise just wishing to be back in Florida and at Disney. Before the wedding, Disney was a very special place for me for so many other reasons like going as a kid with my family, bringing my own children and letting them experience the excitement and wonder of Disney, and also first meeting Brian that fateful day when he was looking for pins.
But now...since the wedding.... every time I see a spot that was even remotely involved with our wedding day all of those amazing memories and feelings from our wedding come back. I had a few of those moments when we went for our honeymoon a few weeks ago. :wizard: We passed by the Contemporary several times on the monorail and every time I would say..."look, you can see the California Grill up there" (our reception spot). Or when we passed by the wedding pavilion...."look there it is, where we got married" like he didn't already know that, LOLOL. But, being the nice guy that he is, he never complained. I guess he has no room to complain because I do put up with him reciting the Monorail speech EVERY TIME, in English and Spanish, that we ride the Monorail!!! I always say, "do you have to do it every time???" He says..." you knew this when you agreed to marry me!" He is so right.....:rotfl: I guess I have to remember that part of our vows, what was it??? For bettor or WORSE? :lmao: Can I also add that he recites the haunted mansion spiels and just about every other spiel there is.....the CM's LOVE him. :grouphug:

Brian and I keep saying that we will move back to Orlando some day...we just have to, lol. We drove down for the honeymoon and took an exit off the Florida Turnpike in I think it was Windemere. We loved this place so much! The houses are HUGE and it is so close to the parks. I almost thought that Brian was going to say right then and there that we were going to immediately move back!!! :rotfl: I think that if he could make as much money in Florida as he does here we would already have hired movers to haul our stuff back down there. One thing besides the salary difference that stops us is the huge difference in quality of education between Florida and where we live. I can say this without bias because I am a teacher who taught in Florida for many years and the schools are just not great. The kids are in a fabulous school district now so moving I think is out of the question until they at least graduate from high school (in just 4 more years!!!!) Gosh that makes me feel old.

Sorry for such a crazy tangent from the wedding trip report but I was just feeling so down and I am so not like that....I am usually a VERY happy person. It has to be all of this SNOW!!!

Back to more pictures now.....

Back to more wedding pics!!!!

I left off with my dad, my daughter and I back in the bridal vestibule. Our officiant came in to tell me all about the wedding and what to expect. I have no idea what he said, :rotfl:. I was completely unable to concentrate on anything at that point. I was like those cartoons where they show a dog concentrating on something and then they go..."oh, a squirrel"... Those of you that have been in this exact situation know just what I am talking about.

So Ron (Officiant) leaves and Tanis (coordinator) tells me to wait there and she would let us know when we were safe to go into the Wedding Pavilion to wait to walk down the aisle. I am pretty sure that during this time Brian, my son and Ron were getting ready for the walk down the Aisle themselves.

Here are a few shots of the aisle before we all walked it...

DB037912-3-10.jpg

DB038512-3-10.jpg

DB038612-3-10.jpg

DB038912-3-10.jpg

DB039312-3-10.jpg

DB071112-3-10.jpg

We decided to only moderately decorate the pavilion, trying not to spend much money at all on decorations but still making a small statement when the guests walked in. I really love how the aisle looks with a runner and aisle swag so I had a plain, white runner, tulle swag on the rows and a light scattering of rose petals. I also wanted something on the altar table and I went with 6 glass containers of varying heights with a floating candle and rose petals on the inside. We also had our sand ceremony items up there as well. Everything done through Disney Floral.

So now the boys were ready to walk and Brian decided that he wanted to walk out to "He's a Pirate" from Pirate's of the Caribbean. I forgot to mention that the mom's walked first....

DB071312-3-10.jpg

DB071812-3-10.jpg

DB072012-3-10.jpg

DB072712-3-10.jpg

DB073612-3-10.jpg

DB073712-3-10.jpg

At this point Tanis brought me, my daughter and my dad into the wedding pavilion and had us wait in the Groom's room. We could hear the music playing in the pavilion and I was getting so nervous and a little weak in the knees!

My daughter was first to walk out and she walked to "A Whole New World" from Alladin.....she was so nervous about getting it right but Tanis talked her through it.

DB075012-3-10.jpg

She is so shy
DB075912-3-10.jpg

DB076112-3-10.jpg

Now it was time for my dad and I to walk down together. I had originally said that I didn't want my dad to give me away but rather just walk me down the aisle, hand me over and then sit down. But Ron convinced me that it would be special and I agreed after seeing the happy look on my dad's face. Brian had no idea this was going to happen so it was a nice surprise for him. My dad and I waited until we heard the music start "When You Wish Upon a Star" and opened the doors.......I really love the way the open both doors at once in the wedding pavilion. It's so dramatic and makes you feel really special.

Brian said later that I didn't look at him right away when I first came into the pavilion. I was so overwhelmed with everything and seeing the decorations and guests for the first time that I was just taking it all in for about 10-15 seconds. Them I remembered to look at Brian, lololol.

The ceremony tidbits to follow!

Love all the new updates and pictures!!! How special for the bouquet frame!! I love it:love:

Oh, I'm loving your new photos and the TR -- it just really comes through how happy you guys were! :goodvibes
