Debra & Brian's Fairytale Trip Report 12/03/10*Completed Wedding Day Report W/PICS*

I told Randy that morning that he had free reign when it came to picture taking but that my one request was to somehow get a shot of us on the catwalk at the California Grill with the MK castle in the background. Since we had to cancel our MK shoot this was the closest we were going to get at this point. Here are a few of my favorite shots...

Here is Stan interviewing us for the end of his Sneak Peek video
DB125212-3-10.jpg

When we came inside from the pictures it was time for Randy and Stan to leave. Thank goodness I said that I would seeing him later that night because he kind of looked at me funny and asked why??? Appartently he hadn't written down that part of his day included coming back for that nights dessert party at Sago Cay. He said he already had a commitment for something to do with the MK parade, which happened to be taping that weekend. This was my face :scared1:. He left the room and called his wife. Thank goodness it turned out that his other obligation was the next night and that he had written down somewhere that we wanted him for the dessert party and he was able to come back that night. This was really the only freak out moment for me the whole day. Even though externally I remained completely calm, internally I was turning to mush.

We paid for Vendor meals for Randy and Stan but beforehand I made sure with Tanis that they were decent meals. I had heard that sometimes the meals are not good. She said the California Grill always gives good meals. So they actually got the same main entrée that we got and I was so relieved and happy.

We opted for a plated meal which consisted of the Sonoma Goat Cheese Ravioli, the best to die for dish EVER!!! We then had the chicken with sweet potato hash for the entree, and then the Chevre Cheesecake for dessert...also amazingly good. I have no pictures of this because Randy left and none of my family are obsessive about Disney like me and take photos of their food! Who are these people??

We were all so full and it was getting time for us to leave. If we didn't leave by four we would have to pay something like $2000 or $3000 extra. We all decided to have the cake individually put in to go containers for our guests and they were able to enjoy the cake at their leisure. I heard back from most that they LOVED the cake!!!! I agree completely...I want that Lemon with Cream cheese frosting again and again and again!

Earlier Tanis told me that due to the cold weather our main dessert portion of our dessert party would be moved into the Whitehall room and start about 30 mins earlier. We would then head over to Sago Cay for the fireworks part. Tanis instructed our guests how to get to the Whitehall room. Tanis them packed up all of our goodies in our original bucket that we dropped off at Franck's. We said see ya real soon, lol, to our guests and headed back to OKW in our car....I really missed that limo!

When we got to OKW we were both so exhausted but also still in that surreal, omg we just got married, on cloud nine mode. :cloud9:

I remember immediately taking off my dress, veil, shoes and bustier. I wanted to feel a little bit more comfortable after wearing that get up all day. My mom Brian's Mom and cousin and children followed us over to pick up some of their stuff that they left there from that morning.

My Mom was dropping off Brian's mom at her resort then were headed back to their resort to rest and change. Brian and I were keeping our wedding clothes on for the Dessert party but we told our guests to dress comfortable and warm.

They finally all left and we had about an hour or two to relax. I had only eaten a tiny bit during the reception because I was just to giddy to eat. I devoured the Ravioli though, lol. I think that I made us both some eggs. We had a full kitchen at OKW and had some food. We ate that then it was already time to get ready again to head over to the GF.

I will post about the Dessert Party very soon....I promise!!!

I must upload some pics to Photobucket though and we all know that takes forever sometimes.

It looks like it was such an amazing day! And you looked lovely. :)

Thank you so much!!! It was an amazing day. ;)

Deb, I am still following and love your pics, so much! I get teary everytime I look at them. You were such a radiant bride, your happiness showed in all your pictures.:bride: I also want to mention the picture of you walking down the hall at the GF, well I'm sure you don't remember but the two people on the left side are me(bl shirt) and my sister(pink shirt). I can't remember if it was before or after meeting you on the elevator. It just made my day! My daughters wedding day is creeping up and I starting to freak out. I only hope my daughter will be as nice to everyone as you were on your day.:goodvibes

You are just so sweet. I thought that was you in the picture, that's why I posted it. That picture was after we met on the elevator. We were walking towards Commander's Terrace when Randy snapped the picture. It is so cool that he got you in the shot!!!! We were meant to meet like that I think.

Thank you for the wonderful compliments. It means so much to me. I cry over so many other Bride's pictures that it makes me feel special to bring out emotions from others with mine.

Your daughter's wedding is coming up so quickly. Before you know it you will be really experiencing the Disney magic that happens at Weddings there. I can't wait to hear about your experience. You should do a trip report from the Mom's perspective on here.

ps...here is the pic again

Thank you very much! I love those castle pics too and am glad I asked for them. I used one of them as the cover of a photo book I made.

I will post about the dessert party very soon. I promise!!!

I am loving all the pictures you are posting. I really like the setup you did at the Napa room with the long table so everyone was together. I think Randy got some nice shots of you guys on the catwalk with the castle behind you.

Can't wait to hear about the dessert party and see those pictures too!

Brooke

Thank you so much for your nice comments. They really help motivate me to keep posting. I promise to try and post the dessert party this weekend. We have so many fireworks shots its going to be hard to choose. :rolleyes1

Your pictures from the catwalk are amazing. I keep going back to look at them. I don't know how to post pictures but will def try to learn so I can post some after the wedding. I don't know if anybody would even be interested in hearing from me being its all brides on here and I am just a Mom. I do get a ton of information from the girls on here (esp Joanne)and pass it on to my daughter, and she appreciates it. Of course I would love to have more input in the wedding but she is counting on the Disney planner for everything so I just follow along.
Looking forward to seeing your pictures from the DP.

Love all your pictures Deb!! :)

The catwalk pictures with the ears are so magical!!

And I am IN LOVE with your cake!!!

Thank you! I love those pictures too...I even used one of them as the cover of our Photo Book that I made a few weeks ago. I can't wait for that to come in. Posting pictures is not as hard as it seems. You just need some type of photosharing account. I use Photobucket. Then you cut and paste the link which will magically let your pictures appear. I can help you after the wedding if you want. :goodvibes The Disney Wedding Planners are amazing, I mean they do this everyday, lol. I just noticed on your ticker that the wedding is in 2 months!!! Wow, that time is going to fly by. Where will you be staying?

Love all your pictures Deb!! :)

The catwalk pictures with the ears are so magical!!

And I am IN LOVE with your cake!!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I want to use one of those catwalk pictures and blow it up huge to place over our mantel, lololol. If DH allows it!

Thank you for your compliments about the cake. I really loved it too. I sometimes get cake envy when looking at how creative some others cakes have been but then I realized that this cake was so us. We love hidden Mickey's and this cake was covered with them.

I know everyone else has said it, but I loooove the catwalk pictures! Love them. :) Randy did such a good job!

Believe me when I say that I cannot hear it enough. :goodvibes Thank you for the compliments!

I was really down when I realized that we had to give up the MK photo-shoot because they were taping the Christmas parade that entire weekend :sad2:. I think those shots made up for it just a bit.

My son has DVC so we will be staying with him. He booked a 3 bedroom Villa at OKW. My daughters will be staying at the GF with the bridesmaids. I have 6 GS's and they need to be able to spread out and have fun. OKW is the perfect place for them. I know you didn't ask but the ceremony is at WP and reception is at St. Augustine.

And thank you for the offer to guide me on posting the pictures, I will take you up on that.

You are going to love OKW so much. The rooms are huge and with a 3 bedroom!!! You won't want to leave, lol. DVC is such a great thing isn't it?

Deb, I so agree with you about OKW, stayed there in August when we went for planning session and loved it. I don't know if I ever mention this, I just loved your bouquet, I think they are very close to what my Daughter's will look like.

Remember to ask for a renovated room. They may all be done by now but just in case. :thumbsup2 Ours was renovated and was so fabulous.

Thank you, I really loved my flowers and I am so glad I added the Stephenotis with the hidden mickey's. They were so fun to look at.

I have a few minor announcements, even though one of them is so major to me right now!!!!

First, I put togehter a photobook a few weeks back and it should be coming by UPS today!!! :cool1: I was going to wait to post this until after it came so I could post pictures but I just couldn't wait anymore. UPS actually came yesterday and I was so excited and ran to the door but it was a delivery for someone else (delivered to wrong house). :confused3 I was so sad, lol.

Next, Brian and I could not have our MK/Epcot photoshoot during our wedding because of the Christmas Parade taping going on that weekend. I have been wanting to book it ever since and realized that I better figure out the time ASAP because I wanted to make sure there was a reasonable time available before our 1 year was up. I emailed Karen from Photography and she gave me only 5 times that were available over the 2 months before our wedding :scared1:. I decided right away that we should book it close to Thanksgiving because we can make it a family vacation with the kids. We chose November 19th!!!!!! Magic Kingdom first and then Epcot. I am beyond excited about this!!!! I just hope that we can get a good photographer, we requested two as our top picks just from what I have seen of their work lately. We are going to stay at AKV using our DVC points and be here for Thanksgiving. I am going to try and book Boma when our booking window opens up because they have a fabulous Thanksgiving spread.

I have a question for any of you who have had the Castle shoot. Did you get the CD??? It is coming with a photo-book, etc, but I think that I really just want the CD. What do you think?? Was the extra expense worth it?

I got the photo-book :banana::banana::banana:

Here are a few pictures of it. It is so much bigger and better than I had hoped. Brian bought a Groupon even before the wedding for a company that does these kinds of books. We bought two Groupons and ordered this one first to see what it is like and I will be doing two other, smaller ones, for our mom's now that I love this one. It's an Imagewrap cover and I chose two pictures, one on the front and a different one on the back. It even let me choose font so I used the Waltograph of course. :goodvibes

Here are some pics which includes a little bit of our Dessert Party....

I think it turned out fabulous. If paying full price it would have been pretty expensive but fortunately our Groupon was for 70% off! :cool1: Totally worth it! I just measured the book and it's 15"x11" landscape. It is way bigger than it seems in the pictures.

Love the book! What website did you go through? In case another Groupon comes out ....
