Hi All
Well as some of you may know I bit the bullet and booked a solo trip to my favourite place on earth :dance3:
Introduction :
Cast : Me :)
History
Although this is my 1st solo trip I have visited the house of mouse many times
I've stayed at various sites and with H1 was a DVC member unfortunately due to H2 I lost the DVC amongst other things (house etc) oh well you live and learn
This trip will produce a few firsts eg flying indirect, staying at POP using ME
So about me I am a care manager in a dementia home I have two beautiful DD who are cheering me all the way on the decision to go solo. I'm 52 but feel 12 and have a tigger tattoo on my back to prove it :rolleyes1. Also I'm not good with the big rides in fact my favourite is Cinderella's carousel so I'll mostly be strolling around and taking in the sights . I will get a pre purchasephoto pass because I love the characters most
So what are my plans you ask ( someone shouts from the back just get on with it )
Ok so I've booked with US airways Man > Phil> Orll I'm planning to stay at premier lodge the night before. The flight leaves at 11 but as it takes and hour and half from my house to arrive comfortably at the airport I would be getting up at 4 in the morning so for £29 I think I'll start my holiday earlier
I've booked Magical express so looking forward to that experience
I've booked a preferred room at POP with QSDP so depending what time I actually get in my room I'm either going to DD or food court

Yes I've booked QSDP but I have booked a few ADR I'm trying to do places I haven't been before new experiences dontcha know :cool1:

Corla Reef- I've booked this for Epcot's late evening but the jury is still out and I may cancel
Chefs de France - I've booked lunch on my last day to people watch
Brown Derby - always wanted to try this

Other places I want to try maybe with a walk up

TRex- desperate to try a cotton tini
The lounge of 50's prime time
Kona cafe - lunch as a cool respite from MK

I'm also going to attempt the Lynx bus to go to The millenium mall to purchase a few things for my 2 DD the way I see it if I can do the change at Philly how hard can a bus trip be :rotfl2:

Finally I will be taking my lap top with me and if the WFI is up and running at POP will attempt a live trip report:dance3:

What date are you going? We have also booked Premier in Manchester for the night before flying. We fly 9 Aug.

Hi I see you have stayed at POP a few times I've booked preferred have you any tips which rooms are best I do like the look of the fifties section

Hiya! Yeah I've been a couple of times to POP. We've stayed in the 80's and the 50s. Personally I loved staying in the 50's. We felt so far out in the 80's and the scenery wasn't half as interesting. I wouldn't mind stopping in the 60's either.

Just realised we fly out 4 days after you :goodvibes

You go girl!!! :cool1::hug:

Sounds like you have a fab trip planned. If there was anywhere I would consider going solo, it would be WDW, I hope you have the time of your life.

Looking forward to hearing more!!

Ooooo I love hearing about solo trips - I've done a couple in my time and I know how fun they can be so good for you.

Yup I agree 50s over 80s anytime at Pop... I love the themeing of 80's but 50's felt better in terms of location

I really like your food choices, Coral Reef... hmmm I love it... then I hate it... then I love it.... no experience has ever been the same LOL

Ohhh and that Cotton-tini sooooo worth it!
