Alone in the Magic Kingdom

We were both up at 7:15am and out the door by 7:30! We had a very special breakfast this morning that we were both super excited about! We hopped on a bus to the MK by 8:00am. We made it to the park and told the CM we had an ADR. She let us through, and the park was OURS! It was awesome getting there so early and not seeing people on Main Street. Of course there were some families who had ADRs too, but it wasn’t nearly as bad as during the park hours. We reveled in the beauty of an empty park and took some pictures.

We made our way to our ADR at…. CRYSTAL PALACE!

We love the CP, and it’s sort of become a tradition for us. I’m not 100% sure what the draw is for us, but we always love the food and the service is usually great. Apparently the CP is a hard place to work at. It’s held highly in CM world, so mostly older CMs who have been around a while get the privilege to work there. Fun fact. Heard it on a Podcast.

ANYWAY. Moving on.

We checked in at the podium and passed time by taking pictures.

The Crystal Palace
June 23, 2012​

Our name was called, so we made our way into the restaurant!

We sat down, and Piglet came right out to greet us! Well, he was probably just making his rounds, but I like to think he was our personal greeter.

And then it was time to eat! My first plate had eggs and salsa, a Mickey waffle, bacon, and a veggie, cheese, and egg frittata which was really good!

Mom’s plate had cheddar potatoes, the frittata, bacon, salmon pastrami smoked, hardboiled egg, and strawberries.

Apparently the salmon was not very good (I don’t like fish, so I can’t say). Everything else seemed delicious!

Then Tigger came by!

It was time for seconds!! My next plate had fruit, cinnamon roll, breakfast lasagna, and Pooh’s French toast. (Talk about a carb overload!!!)

Mom’s had breakfast lasagna, Pooh’s French toast, mixed fruit and honey yogurt, and strawberries.

Pooh was next!

This place is so cute!

Our server was really nice! He was actually the same waiter from 2010 when Mom and Step Dad visited. I don’t think he remembered Mom, but he sees so many people! He was really funny and a great people person. He even gave us two iced teas to go!

Overall, we had a great meal! ​

The Run of the Tourists

Sigh. What a great sight!

We took some photopass pictures in front of the castle.

We talked to a really nice Photopass CM who told us to take a picture of our PP number on our card, so just in case the card gets damaged or lost, we won’t lose the number. He also told us not to go anywhere because when the gates opened the sea of people crashing in was amazing to watch. Sure enough, it was! It was hilarious!

FULL!!!!

It was like a stampede!

Then we went to take pictures in the Rose Garden. It was so pretty and peaceful over there.

Great update, love!!! Your photos are fantastic and every time I see close-ups of the castle I think of DH's cousin hanging out one of those windows putting a clue up for the treasure hunters of the pirate themed birthday celebration one lucky (and very wealthy) family hired Disney Special Events to coordinate. What a job!

Ahhh, Crystal Palace. Love it! Hahah, that CM server is from New Orleans and he reminds me of Harry Connick, Jr. when he talks! Yah, he probably didn't remember me. hahahaha!

It's My Unbirthday Too!
June 23, 2012​

Then it was time to meet Merida! We waited in line for maybe 5 minutes. Her whole area was so cool!

Our view of the castle!

She was so pretty and had a perfect accent!

Then it was off to a very special character. Alice!

My mom directs plays at school too, and during my senior year of high school a bunch of my friends and I decided to audition for Alice in Wonderland that my mom was directing! I was Tall Alice and it was a lot of fun!

Alice was so cute and very talkative! She asked if I was going to a tea party today because she liked my dress! I said no, but today is my unbirthday! She said “it’s mine too! What a small world! Are you doing anything special?” I said no, and she told me to try the teacups but to watch out for rabbit holes. She was talking so quickly, but I think she said that we never get invited by the Mad Hatter, so we show up uninvited and that’s s rude! Then she randomly turned to the camera, struck a pose, and said “tea!” LOL! It was so funny! She gave me a hug before I left, and she gave Mom one too! It was by far the best character interaction I’ve had!

Liberty Square Photoshoot

We continued on through Fantasyland. The crowds weren’t too bad this morning!

We made our way to Philharmagic which is always so cute! I really love that show!

We continued through Fantasyland without too much of an agenda.

We went into Liberty Square and wandered around.

Just Sittin' on a Porch
June 23, 2012​

We found a spot on the porch, and sat for a while. It was so quiet and peaceful! I caught up in my journal and we watched people go by.

I remembered a treat I really wanted to try, so after a bit, we hopped up and went over to Sleepy Hollow& after a stop in some shops.

We wanted to try the Nutella and fruit waffle sandwich, aka HEAVEN on a plate.

Oh, My, Lanta it was yummy! I mean look at that beauty!

It was so big though! We had to use a fork and knife because&

It just wasnt happening! LOL! Im so glad we shared it though because it was really filling!

After our snack, we caught the parade which was a lot of fun to watch! I really like the parades, but we never seem to stop to watch them!

We went into the shops on our way out of the park.

One of these days I really need to make myself keep my ADR for Crystal Palace. I don't know why I always end up canceling our breakfast ADRs there.
