Debating whether or not to cancel 9/2021 Norwegian Fjords

I booked an HA verandah room on opening day for the 2021 Norwegian Fjords cruise, and I'm having some second thoughts. Between concerns over Covid recovery (my daughter is both a wheelchair user and medically fragile) and the fact that Disney no longer stops in Geiranger Fjord, I'm wondering if it's the best choice. I thought about moving to the British Isles cruise, but the only HA rooms available are inside/Ocean View. Any thoughts?

Geiranger being a popular port but with limited capacity is snapped up early in the process by cruise lines. Disney doesn't get its Europeans itineraries together until late in the game - which forces it to take whichever ports are available.

British Isles are very easy to do on your own if you have a few days to spare before or after your cruise. In particular, you can spend more time in Scotland and visit the likes of Isle of Skye, Loch Ness, Eilean Donan Castle, and Scottish highlands. You can't get to them all with just one day in Greenock. On the flip side, the cruise will save you the ferrying part of a DIY trip to/from Ireland.

There is a chance Disney might send two ships over to Europe in the summer in 2022 (or later). That will open up more itineraries - possibly longer Norway itineraries. If you can, put a deposit on both 2021 cruises. Wait for 2022 European itineraries to come out and then decide what you want to do.

Ps. We were on Disney's 2019 cruise to Norway which stopped in Geiranger.

I would leave it as it is right now, since you're just talking about moving it around by a couple weeks or so. Keep the room you want. If you're worried about the covid aspect, you will likely want to move your cruise to 2022 once those go on sale in Feb/Mar/Apr... sometime in the Spring.

I think at this point in time, you should just wait to see how things are as you approach PIF. We booked a November 2021 cruise this week. PIF is in July. We got a long way to go. We will re-evaluate at that time.
