Actually they don't seem to be debates any longer. That's probably why the DB go axed. It's too bad. Makes it less that ideal for both DB lovers and old school CB lovers alike. I'm afraid that without ANY real debate guidelines, it is reduced to name calling and such much sooner rather than later.

Well, if you'd bothered to take the thing in context, you might have realized that I was posting those "facts" in an effort to show that they were just as much "truth" as the crap you and others keep posting about Clinton (talk about being uninformed of the current talking points...the guy's been out of office for nearly 4 years now, you'd think the Repuglicans would find something else to whine about...lol)

Try to keep up, will you ?

As to the drivel you posted in "refuting" my "facts"...Whatever helps you sleep at night I guess...I'm not sure when Clinton admitted to those supposed "facts" about himself, but then I guess that standard only applies to him, rather than the current president...

The fact that matters is that Clinton is an impeached president. That is one very good reason why he shouldn't have been invited to speak at President Reagan's funeral.

The only reason that matters regarding while former President Clinton should not speak at Mr. Reagan's funeral today is that he was not invited to speak. Mr. & Mrs. Reagan planned this funeral together; it's their choice of who speaks. All the whiners should be thankful they were invited to attend at all.

Exactly. President Reagan asked Bush 41 to speak at his funeral while he (Reagan) was still President. Not EVERYTHING is political.

I didn't bring Clinton up; I was simply commenting on him. I think if you look back at my posts (particulary the best presidents of the last 50 years) you will see that I rank Clinton fairly high. He spent 8 years not screwing things up, which is not bad. The thing that drives him crazy is that he really didn't solve a major issue or had one to deal with. My only comments are around what a master politician he is, which I have acknowledged numerous times. I mean, geez, you and ThreeCircles are getting bent out of shape for what was essentialy a compliment I gave to Clinton. I don't think even Bill or Hillary would deny that everything they do is about them.

BTW, the 2000 election has been over for 4 years, too. You'd think the Dems would find something else to whine about.

You'd think the Republicans would do the same regarding President Clinton, yet they never seem to tire of re-hashing the same old garbage.

Republicans would do well to remember their candidate is running against Kerry, not President Clinton.

Okay, who else noticed that President Clinton looked half stoned during the service????????????? What was with THAT!?! I am sure he was not, but he sure looked goofy/asleep/ just plain odd! And Hillary looked like she was not too happy either; but not, "I'm mourning someone" unhappy, but like, "I just got into a big fight with someone and I'm stewing about it" unhappy.

I just thought it was very strange and I am sure I am not the only one who noticed it!!!!!!!

If Clinton would simply GO AWAY, like almost every other President had the dignity to do when they left office, it would be a lot easier. But the man can't help trying to invent a legacy he never had the opportunity to build while in office.

Yes, because as we have all been told numerous times by Shrub supporters, it's impossible to respect the presidency (or the troops...or the country...or whatever) without agreeing with everything the smirking chimp spouts off as he's running from the press

That didn't take long....

I really didn't take notice of President Clinton or anyone else in attendance, I was busy paying attention to the funeral itself. I think it's been a beautiful, dignified ceremony. To demean it with comments such as yours is classless to say the least.

I was only able to listen to it (darned firewalls....). Anybody that saw it that can tell us about it would be greatly appreciated. It sounded like it was beautiful.

ITA, peachgirl. We have no idea what former President & Mrs. Clinton were thinking or feeling during the funeral. But to assume the worst (and I am no fan of the Clintons) is simply not right or fair.
