Dear Host_Hula,

Back in 2005, You fixed something for me that went a bit wrong. Heh I remember it was then I realized that if we posted something on any of the fan sites, it would most likely reach VMK. I didn't have many friends back then, I was more into trading. I didn't post much back then either, but you still knew exactly who I was. You really took the time to know us. All of us. You are an amazing host, an amazing person, and an amazing BFF.

I remember when your shifts changed, and well it looked like you were leaving us. Wow remember the uproar!!! When we realized it was just a shift change we had a big sigh of relief. We needed our host Hula. I got to ask you if you were leaving, and you told me no because you needed us also. Thank you for staying with us Hula and I bet Hurry thanks you more because we would have skinned him alive if he was your replacement

Dream month was probably the best example of what host Hula is all about. Yeah I would like to forget dreams month, as I am sure you would. You didn't just stop when your dream shift was over. You just kept going, kept giving out those ears. If you could have you would have handed every single vmker a pair of dream ears yourself. We made a list on the DISboards of kids that did not have ears. The day after dreams month had ended, everyone on that list had them. What a thing for them to wake up to after what they all thought was the worst month ever. Guess we should have expected it, because that is what Hula really is all about

Much of the VMK player I am today (for better for worse ), is a direct result of having known you. I think anyone who knew me from when it started to present would understand that all to well.

You have had a very real impact on my life, I am a better person for having known you, and you will always be my BFF.

Can I hop on the bandwagon? I'm not sure which direction this will take...

I just wanted to say how much FUN I have had in VMK with everybody. I loved helping out in Hula's rooms. Helping out with games, talking with players, laughing, and sharing our favorite game. Since I was never one of those people who followed hosts or staff members around outside of games, I only helped out while I was a community leader since, at the time, that was part of what we were told we could do. It was so much fun that I just kept coming back. I couldn't play enough! Hula made it fun; made it so I wanted to keep helping out. Once the CL program ended, I sort of blended back into the woodwork. Despite my disappearance, Hula was still the kind person she always was to me on the few occasions I saw her. Her excitement for the game, deep sense of friendship, and true understanding of the meaning of Disney is part of what made me come back and keep playing. I won't say I only played because of Hula - I have many many friends who have made VMK special but the fun we had whenever she was around certainly made a difference.

I don't know about all of you, but I often wished Hula WASN'T a host so she could just be a player in the game and hang out like the rest of us (without a mob chasing her), especially when it came time for the HOST games to end. I can guarantee you that if she was, her friend list would be full! It was clear that Hula loved the game before she ever became a HOST.

Anyway, Thank you, Hula, for all the fun. The ride-through of your rooms brought back a lot of great memories. That's the one thing that ending VMK can't take away!! We appreciate you and I certainly know that VMK would not have been the same without your pink hair bopping throughout the kingdom.

Yes I have to second what Aengus wrote. You are and amazing host. Especially durning dreams month. Thanks for visiting my room and gifting everyone dream ears. We were all so excited. We literally had been in that room all day.

My Dear Host Hula

Some of my best memories on VMK are because of YOU. I will always cherish my virtual Dream ears which Littlebelle is still wearing proudly today. The day you brought happy tears to my eyes. I had never won anything special nothing rare, no best anything. But the day I got dreams ears I felt like a somebody. The I was fortunate to see you pulling (well more like failing) to pull the sword in the stone out. I had come in wearing a chief headress but changed to a cowboy hat.

You said omg Belle you changed. I thought oh no I must have changed wrong. I said should I change you said No belle no. Well we all got dream ears again and I thought oh well should have stayed Chief. Then you said Belle go check your rooms. OH my I had a dream suite. I was so excited that I clicked go in right away and then realized I forgot to thank you. I was then really upset I had not. But low and Behold you showed up to my new Dream Suite. I was able to thank you and enjoy my new place. Hugs for those special memories I will cherish forever.

Then at christmas time I was sitting in my new Belle's Christmas cabin where you appearred during Hula Winter Wandering visits. You were the first host to ever show up to my room with out it being a room competition. You not only saw that room but went to my favorite christmas room Toyland where you left a Gold Soldier as a gift. He is still there today

Hula you have a Heart of Gold. Though I missed seeing you in the game near the end. You always went beyond the call of work to bring sunshine and pixie dust
into as many players lives as you could. Your giving and warm spirit led the way for many players to emulate.

Thank you for bringing some of that heart into my life. All the best in your next adventure. Hugs

Ps When I wrote Disney to please keep VMK open I also asked then to give me real ears for that is how much they meant to me.

You have been a wonderful Host, a testament to the wonderful person you are.
There are so many things you have done that have gone beyond the normal realm of your Hosting 'duties', I won't ever forget.

Almost 2 years ago, my DD got a message about having to get her name changed, and you immediately checked into it for her as she came to a host room and told you about it. It was from that time on i realized you would truly go to any lengths to help someone out. BC of that day, I started playing VMK bc i was interested why my dd had to change her name. I played games late at night for her to help her earn credits and a result I have met some amazing friends. Thank you for all you've done. You have impacted ppl more than you know.

You were one of the best HOSTs I have ever met. I remember you letting me sit in your Halloween room and tell people what to do in the room.. and I wasn't even a community leader. Dear, Sweet, Hula. Too many wonderful memories with you! You were the first member of staff to visit my room way back in that first year of vmk. Those random visits were always fun and remain special memories for me. I associate you with my bright yellow cheese room! Eeek! Dear Hula, you were the first host my daughter and I met in vmk and we enjoyed each and every time we were lucky enough to see you in game. I remember the first time I FINALLY won a host room game, it was yours and my daughter and I were here cheering over that moment! (turned out to be one of a very few times I ever won in a host room ) You were always a joy to talk to, however brief, and you always made everyone feel special. We've really missed you since your schedule change and in case we don't get to stop by tonight to say it, THANK YOU for all the fun times!!! I wish princessmadiro and I could have gotten to know you better. You were the first Host she ever saw outside a Host room and that wasn't until Dreams month. You appeared in a guest room after the scheduled dream time. princess and I had stumbled in prior to your arrival to try to do a quest but the kiosk was not working. There were so many people in that room- it looked like a big party. You appeared and you literally took her breath away! The excitement just to see a host out in the game is magical! You gifted us those prized dream ears. We had no idea we had even gotten them but you kindly told us to look. We couldn't understand how this could have happened but then found out you were working dream magic overtime giving out as many dreams as possible because thats who you are. princess got her very first host picture with you. The personal touch can never be recreated in another game. This is what makes VMK like NO OTHER GAME. THANK YOU!

There's a reason I still have "Hula is my home girl" in my VMK signature.

All the previous posts above show what Hula means to us. Of all the hosts, I felt I got to know Hula the most. I enjoyed the times we were able to hang out with people who knew better than to hound her, and like Shorts and Mims said, those were the times we saw the "real" Hula.

The sillier we got, the more I think she enjoyed it! She seemed to enjoy the Jellyrolls vs Briar 'who is cuter' debate, and I know she loved Rolls yelling "Boogies" all the time. (And deep down I think she knows I'm cuter than Rolls!)

And I do recall being in her pirate party room, back in the days of the "dc monster". She disconnected 4 times during that night, and she allowed me to stay because I had the "magical duck tape" keeping me connected. I wanted to see just how long I could be on VMK without disconnecting, and she allowed me to stay in her room to test it out.

She's had a lot of computer issues, lots of disconnects. I've suggested the Geek Squad come over to fix her computer. But when she wasn't losing connection, we knew we could count on her.

And yes, she was the one to give me my first pair of Dream Ears. That was special to me, because I know (as the others have stated) she was working OT to give as many of those out as possible.

The funniest thing for me, though, was coming back to my cozy fire room to find a gift and a photo of her on my wall. I've used the item in room decor elsewhere, but the photo is still on my wall.

Dear Hula,
I remember when the quests first opened in VMK and I was trying to get the green car magic pin. I had been on it for days trying to complete the quest and just wasn't getting past the Haunted Mansion game (and it is my best game in VMK). I had finally given up and was sitting in my room all alone when you came by and said you would try to help me through the game. The two of us played for a while until you DCed, I never got the pin but I will always remember that you actually took the time to help me with it, that really meant more to me then any pin or anything else. VMK has been a great joy to me (and some frustration too) but it is people like you that kept me coming back when I would have quit long ago. I will miss you Hula.

Hi Host Hula,

Over the last 3 years you really have made VMK such a fun and exciting place! I will never forget all your different host rooms and games. They were always so fun and exciting. I remember times like back in the day when I helped you with your space race room. I'll never forget the memories I have shared with you. Another memory that sticks in my mind is when I told you that there were pink oreos! I remember you were like omg I got to go to Target and get some hehehe! I hope you did get your pink oreos eventually. I know they still have them at Target by the way. My fondest memory though is when you along with other staff awarded me the Gold Star Reward Pin. The things you said to me were so sweet, and being awarded this pin was such an honor! I hope you realize that I will miss you very much, and I hope you don't forget super ShoreBoy , because he won't forget you. Hope everything you do after VMK is as great of an experience as VMK was! I will miss you, and you will always be one of my dearest best friends!

Hula Aengus pretty much said it all, but I want you to know how much I appreciated you working over time in Dreams month. I was one of those that you presented ears to, after your scheduled time was ended, and it touch me so much that you worked so hard to try to make everyone's dream come true. I hope you can understand how much love you take with you when you leave VMK. In Hawaii they have a bumper sticker that says "Live Aloha" well, you certainly did that!
