Ebates doesn't send you the cash back on request. They send the cash back out on a quarterly basis. The credit will be processed to your ebates account within 40 days of your travel date. Sometimes you get lucky and it credits to your account shortly after you've made the purchase. Sometimes, like in the case of my last purchase, they make you wait the entire 40 days following the date that you picked up your tickets. Even then, you will receive your "Big Fat Check" according to their payout schedule.Signed up, bought the tickets, got the 3-day + 2 day free park hopper tix for Disney. It DID say at checkout that the cash back can be processed as late as 40 post vacation, but I'll be contacting for the cash back before I leave in February so I have the extra cash.
Tickets cost me (for 1 person) $341.87. 20% cash back through ebates will net me $68.37, making the tickets cost $273.50. Compare that to Disney's rack rate on the same ticket (5 day park hopper) at $370.62, and I saved a total of $97.12!![]()
You also need to be aware that the funds in your account are in Canadian dollars, which are worth 90¢ of a US dollar. See several posts back where Jonstar quoted the terms of ebates.ca In a nutshell, that means that your $68.37 CAD rebate is worth $61.53 in USD.
The ebates refund will be issued in Canadian funds, which means that you're going to have to pay a currency exchange fee to convert it to USD (that's on top of the exchange rate). It's also going to eat into your cash back total.
