We have a reservation in a couple of weeks at SSR. (rented pts) we are there 11 nights but we were only going to buy 10 days DDP due to our traveling times that is all we needed. We were planning on buying that this weekend. With the new plan change are we going to have to buy 11 days DDP because we are booked 11 nights or will we still be able to just buy 10
Days DDP?

You need to buy the dining plan for every night of your stay, so 11 nights.

The DDP, everyone on the reservation for the entire length of stay, booked by the owner/member and paid for at the time of booking.

Only one night difference so not a big deal this time. Hope they still let us add on since this was booked months before. Will hurt future trips if have to pay at time of booking. Harder on those who segmented much more. This is a big change. What seems unfair a little is that if you are paying cash you can change your reservation and add the plan later. :confused3.

I believe the poster meant that you have to pay for the dining plan when it is booked, not the room. I booked my Oct stay last Nov, but just added deluxe dining yesterday..and paid for it. It took some doing and had to be done by a supervisor but it got done.

Ok that makes sense. Sorry Dissing on my phone makes my posts harder to read and sometimes I have a harder tine reading others. That makes more sense. Thanks again!!! I dont know what I would do without the Dis! :thumbsup2

Why did it take some doing? I thought you could add and pay for the dining plan up to 48 hours before your arrival. Should have been an easy add, no?

:) I thought you had to book at least 2 weeks before checkin now...maybe not :confused3

Well I hope they 'grandfather' some of that because we might be a little under two weeks. When they change the rules it's only fair. We will see. If not then we will just cancel our ADR's. Wanted the convience of pre-paid food. If I lump it all together, $1500 for all of us for all those days I can stand it. If I break it down to this meal will be over $100 I can't do it. I know it's a mental thing but I know us. We cheapen out at the last minute. Would probably do more meals in the room also.

Too bad we can't do the split dining plan any more. I was planning to do just the quick service for the first day, and change to DDP. Now is back to the old way where dining plan is all or nothing again.

Dining plan can still be added up to 48 hours before arrival. I don't understand the take some doing part either.
