I hope someone can help me w/ this.

We will be going to DW in April. We will be staying off site for a few days and then staying 4 days, 3 nights on site. I would like to get the DDP for the time we are on site. How does that work w/ purchasing tickets? I want to purchase a 7 day pass...would the DDP make me have to separate our tickets into a 3 day pass and 4 day pass?

I hope that makes sense. I have tried to find an answer, but haven't found anything on websites or the guide books. Can someone help me please???

TIA!!

The dining plan has nothing to do with park admission days.It goes by the number of nights of your resort reservation. If you are on property for 7 nights you get the dining plan for 7 nights. You can never have the dining plan for more or less days than your resort reservation.

If you do the onsite stay with the dining plan first, it's easy. Just purchase tickets for the full length of your stay with your WDW package reservation. The dining plan is tied to the number of nights you stay in the resort, not the length of your tickets. You may buy any length park ticket with your room/tickets/dining package.

If the offsite stay comes first, it gets trickier, because you must buy tickets with the package reservation at WDW to get the dining plan. The problem here is that Disney tickets are cheaper per day the longer you buy them for. To split up the ticket purchase between the two reservations would result in losing money. Your best bet may be to buy length of stay tickets from Disney or a broker, then purchase one-day base tickets with the WDW package and the dining plan. One-day tickets do not expire until they are used, and can be used toward a ticket upgrade or the purchase of new tickets from WDW in the future. Or, leave your last day off your length of stay ticket purchase, and use the one-day tickets on the last day (only recommended if you anticipate never being able to use the one-day tickets on a future trip)

Another option is to purchase one adult annual pass and make the second reservation an annual passholder room/dining package.
