DDP Question

We stayed in VWL in 2006 on a cash ressie, did the DDP, and loved it. I'm not sure that it saved us any money, but I think it made the trip more relaxing---not feeling like I was looking at every price on every menu item.

However, it was definitely more food than we needed. And I didn't really understand how best to "work" the plan, so I ended up with extra credits at the end----on my last day I treated an entire family to lunch!

Anyway, I would like to do the plan again for our upcoming trip. I am going for a large gathering---we have two 2-bedroom villas reserved at AKV. I know that the DDP must be purchased for every guest, every night, but when I asked if both rooms had to purchase DDP, I was told no.

So I was thinking that maybe we'd just purchase the DDP for whichever room had the greater number of guests and spread it out. But I can't remember---when you go to a TS restaurant---do they check the cards of everyone at the table or just the one who is "paying" with his/her credits. I remember showing the card to my server, but I can't remember if everyone had to show a card.

IOW, if I'm on DDP, will anyone realize if I use my credits for someone not on DDP?

Thanks!

You won't be able to buy more TS meals at the same time than is indicated on your room key.

So for example, if you buy the DDP for 6 adults and 2 children, you couldn't buy 7 adult TS meals at the same time. But you could buy TS meals for 6 different adults - they don't know that some of the 6 may not be the ones in the villa that purchased the plan.

If your next trip is in 2008, you won't be ordering ANY appetizers on your DDP... and you'll be paying the gratuity as well. Check out the changes if your trip is in 2008. They are pretty drastic!
