DDP prices for DVC during peak?

We're going over 4th of July and weighing the DDP - I think I've read that DVC members pay the regular price for DVC (i.e. $41.99/person) even during the peak seasons/prices ($46?/person). Can anyone confirm this for me? It would definitely impact our decision to DDP or not to DDP.

And we're staying on my MIL's points (but she won't be with us), so we're technically not the DVC members, but that shouldn't matter, we're considered DVC if we're staying on points, right?

Yes, as of now, there is no peak costs for DDP for members.

You shouldn't have any problems adding it - your MIL will just need to add it to the reservation no later than 48 hours prior to your getting there.

DDP is a great deal during peak/holiday times, especially since we members don't have to pay the uptick.
