DDP for staggered guests?

I believe that in order to sign up for one of the DDPs, everyone in your group must sign up and you must sign up for your entire length of stay.

If my two assumptions above are correct, what about this situation? I will be staying at OKW resort on a family member's points. My wife, 2 year old daughter and I will be staying 6 days. On day 2, we will be joined by my in-laws for 5 days. Day 4 will add another person for 3 days. Last but not least, on Day 5 we will be joined by 2 more people for 2 days. Can each of us purchase a DDP for the time we will be staying or would everyone have to purchase 6 days? Sorry if this seems convoluted.

To stagger the plan you'd need to check out and check back in each day that you add or remove guests to the plan.

We ran into this with my sister in our October 2007 trip to SSR. We were arriving on Sunday and she was arriving on Wednesday. We talked about checking out and checking back in with Member Services and when I was told that we could not be guaranteed the same room we opted to pay for her on the days that she wasn't there and we just had more TS to use.

If the people you are adding to your room are registered guests, then you have to purchase the DDP for every registered guest for the length of stay. If only some of you use the plan - those not on the plan couldn't be registered guests. See how that doesn't really work?

You must be doing a Grand Villa with 7 guests! Congratulations! I always wanted to try a GV. :goodvibes:

Thanks. It looks like the DDP won't work for us after all.

Actually we will be staying in the 2 Bedroom Villa. Since they include a PackNPlay for the 2 year old, everyone will have an actual bed, with the exception of the last two guests, but I understand that the HideABed is very comfortable. And the age of the two on the HideABed will be 10 and 11.

It will the first time to Disney for everyone in the group except me and my wife.

Everyone on the reservation must get DDP for the entire length of stay. You would be able to get it for the core group but you couldn't put the ones that are coming and going on the reservation and still get DDP. If they are not on the reservation, they won't get room keys or be registered as staying in your room, nor could they use Magical Express.

Or, you'd need to have everyone on the reservation from the beginning and buy DDP for all of them for the full length of stay.

but I understand that the HideABed is very comfortable. And the age of the two on the HideABed will be 10 and 11.
Naw...it's not comfortable. It's not as bad as most sleeper couches, but it's nothing like a bed.

It's good that you're staying at OKW, because you'll have plenty of floor space and two queen beds in the second bedroom. Your real problem will be that you will have only two bathrooms for the whole herd.

OTOH, you'll be at WDW!
