DDP for kids

We are getting the quick service dining plan. A few years back we had the regular dining plan. If I remember correctly they did not split child and adult on the receipt, so at times my daughter could use her counter service credit for an adult meal (like a salad) . Are the child dining plan counter service credits striclty limited to only the childrens menu ?

Can table services be used towards counter services and can you still get 3 snacks for a counter service?

They are no longer allowing you to trade a CS credit for 3 snacks. TS credits can now be used to buy any CS meal as a staight 1 for 1 tradeoff. It is Disney policy (therefore also the Disboards policy) that children must use their credits for kid's meals unless there is no kid's menu at that restaurant.

It is against Dis rules to discuss ways around Disney written policy.

My DD3 won't eat a lot of what's on the kids menu so I've been looking for other options. Here are the places I've fonud so far without kids menus. There may be more or some of these may have kids menus now so double check but it's a starting point.

My understanding (and how it was in 2010) that for the regular DDP that they track TS entitlements by adult and child and you see that on your receipt. But the CS entitlements are not separated nor distinguished between adult/child.

As previously mentioned, if a child (ages 3-9) uses a CS/TS entitlement they are supposed to order off of the children's menu when available.

I am going to close this now, as per Disney policy, children's DDP credits are to be used to order meals from the children's menu where available (including QS).
