DDP desserts?

We will be trying the DDP this Nov. and I am trying to understand this process.

So, I am correct in assuming that you can order off the regular menu for TS for not only entrees, but desserts as well? Additionally, what about CS desserts? I heard rumor that the CS desserts were only "certain" ones. Please help, I'm confused....

Well, I suppose if a TS restaurant had a special dessert one night that's not on the menu (because it's not a regular item) in the same price range as the other offerings, DDP participants could order that dessert. But most of the time, most Disney restaurants only prepare what's on the menu, so that's 'all' a Guest can order.

Desserts at CS locations are pretty limited anyway, usually just two or three options - Dining Plan or not. A few locations restrict DDP dessert choices even more - Earl of Sandwich only allows a cookie or muffin, Pepper Market offers only Tier 1 desserts (probably similar to EoS) on the DDP, Tangierine Cafe's DDP dessert is limited to baklava...
