DDP Deluxe...can I do this?????

Our family is splitting into 2 rooms for our January trip...2 in a suite and 4 in a 2 BDR for 5 nights. If I get the DDP Deluxe for the 2 adults in the suite, that allows for 3 table services per day, yes? All tolled, that's 30 table services for the 5 night stay. Can I use those table services to take 6 people to dinner for for 5 nights?

I called Disney....they said no.

YOu cannot use more DDP credits in one transaction than you have persons on your reservation. If you have 2 adults on your reservation, you cannot purchase more than 2 adult meals and pay with the dining plan.

Disney's rule is that you cannot use your dining credits to buy meals for persons who are not included on your resort reservation.

Did this change in the past year? We used the dining plan last fall and then did not use it the next time we went. When we were there in the fall they let us use the dining plan to pay for my sisters dinner several times and she was not on the plan. I am just curious because I need to know how to budget if I can not do that this time. TIA

It has always been the rule that the credits are not transferable. It's now being enforced.
