DDP available to AP holders?

I'm an AP holder in the UK and I always thought I was unable to add the DDP despite always staying at a Disney resort. But, I'm sure someone told me that you can still add the DDP plan on so long as you book your resort stay via the US site (which I have just done, but, online). However, I cannot seem to find any info to confirm it. According to the Mom's Panel, you can only do it if you book a resort using an AP discount for the room.

Can anyone tell me if AP holders can add the DDP on retrospectively even if they didn't book with an AP discount? And how do I go about doing it

As long as you booked your room reservation through Disney, you can call and add the dining plan.

AP's have nothing to do with booking the dining plan. Staying onsite with your room booked through Disney is the key.
