DDP and Sig Dinning ?? Help please!

Hi. I was wondering if we picked the DDP instead of DxDP, could we still do this option to get some great Signature Restaurants? DH and I will be at the World at CBR for 6 nights. So is it possible to on 3 nights use our Table Service credits and go to 3 Signature Restaurants? Instead of doing 6 Table Service Restaurants? And use all 6 QS for lunch. Then on the last 3 nights of the trip just pay OOP? Can I break up the this plan by doing 1 night Sig Rest, 2nd night pay OOP, etc? I also reserved the DxDP already on my reservations. Would Disney let me change it back to the free DDP? Thank you!

You can use your credits any way you want. 6 days gives you 12 QS and 12TS credits for 2 people. You could use them all in one day if possible. Doesn't matter. It's credits not days.

Changing your reservation in anyway only becomes a problem if you are within the 45 day window. Then there is a change fee.

Your entire bank of credits is given to you at check-in, not allotted day-by-day. So you can go with your plans. I get sick of the travel time wasted for 1 credit dinners each night. This time we are doing 4 Signature meals over 8 nights with regular DDP. In addition, we're going during Food&Wine, and grazing by using our DDP Snack Credits. One more thing we're trying are the new small plate venues that don't take DDP. You could think about using your QS credits at dinner time, too. Earlier in the day, just graze on such things as the Sleepy Hollow Waffle, or Corn Dog Nuggets at Casey's. There's a few good grazing kiosks at AK. A sandwich from Starring Rolls (HS) is very filling, and doesn't have to be purchased as a meal. Sunshine Seasons at EP has a ton of choices for light fare, and there's many places in World Showcase to pick up small bites. You don't need DxDP to accomplish what you're trying.

1. Yes, you can use your TS credits for the sigs, but the entitlements will remain the same (entree, dessert, non alcoholic fountain drink) even though the sigs will require 2 credits per person. Figure the value of the TS dining credit is approximately $37.50 so your sig entree, dessert, bev + tax would need to be $75 to equal the value of the credits used. If you have the DxDDP lunch and dinner include an appetizer for each adult and each credit is worth approx $33.50 and it's easier to make the $67 at a sig because of the added appetizer.

2. All the dining credits will be given to you when you check in. You can use them any time you wish. They will be valid from check in until 11:59 PM on the day you check out. You can use them all up in a couple of days or spread them out throughout your stay.

You can extend the credits by sharing at some TS restaurants (using 1 credit (or 2 at sigs) to feed 2 people. Everyone will be charged credits at buffets, all you care to eat family style venues, fixed price (CRT, Akershus), dinner shows (e.g. Hoop De Doo), Candlelight and Fantasmic Dining Packages and the family platter at Whispering Canyon Cafe. If one person is not too hungry and only wants a small meal and the other wants a full meal you can use credits for one person and pay OOP for the smaller meal.

3. If rooms for free Dining are still available at the resort/room category and dates you are going you would be able to modify your package. You might have to consider a different resort or room category. If you are within 45 days of arrival there will be a $50 change fee if your total is less than your current package. If you are able to add free dining, room will be at rack rate so if you currently have a room rate discount do the math to see which would be a better deal for you. If you choose free dining you can upgrade to DxDDP by paying the difference between the FD plan and DxDDP.

Yes, you can do that. You can share some of DH's entree and dessert, too. As PP wrote, DDP sharing isn't allowed at buffets, all-you-care-to-eat service, fixed-price or special dinner situations.
