DDP and Hoop-Dee-Doo ADR

I have a split stay, and both stays are Military Dine packages. 4 nites at Disney resort #1 and 4 nites at Disney resort #2. I reserved Hoop-Dee-Doo for the date which is check-out day resort #1/check-in day resort #2. I have an ECV and was allowed a DDP ADR for the 4pm show in Category 2 wheelchair-accessible (HA). I'm guessing there's not many HA tables so I want to pick-up the tickets when we arrive at resort #1. I was told that we'll get seating assignment when we pick up our tickets and my worry about an available table will be out of the way. If I pick up the tickets at resort #1, the DDP credits used will be from that resort. But I have other TS ADRs being used for those DDP credits, and I actually want to use DDP credits from resort #2, since this ADR overlaps both resort stays. But I don't want to wait until check-in at resort #2 to get my HDDR tickets bc I'm afraid there might not be HA seating left.

So, should I call WDW right now and modify my ADR and pay OOP for the HDDR tickets? Then when I check into resort #2 can I modify my ADR and use resort #2's DDP credits and receive a CC refund? Is that doable? Or should I leave the ADR alone until I check into resort #1, pay with CC then, then change to DDP credits at resort #2? Thanks for your insight. :)

You or spouse have to be Active Duty or Retired Military. I am the widow of a retired Military soldier and remain eligible. Military Dine is a ticket-less package: Disney resort room with military discount, plus paid Dining Plan (no discount).

I've never heard of the "Military Dine Plan". Can you give some more info, or provide a link? Thanks!

There's no place in advertising where you'll see the formal name "Military Dine Package." But if you want to book the Disney-Military Room-only Discount, you are able to add paid Dining Plan, and on your Disney Invoice it will state "Military Dine." The package does not require ticket purchase, as there are tickets available thru the Disney-Military Armed Forces Salute program.

Look under Room-only Offers, Military. There's a note about adding Dining Plan.

No mention of Dining Plan, but it is available by asking.

Edited to add: The current Disney-Military discounts run through Sept 27, 2014. It is hoped that there is a renewal of the program from Sept 2014 thru Sept 2015. Usually an announcement will appear in early August.

Oh, well, yeah, but the dining is not discounted in anyway...it's just added at the normal rate.

That's right. I don't know of any way to get discounted Dining Plan. There is the Disney Free Dining program, but you pay rack rate for your room. Based on the number of people in your party, FD might net an overall vacation savings. For 2 people, Free Dining and rack rate isn't as good as Military room-only discount at moderate and deluxe resorts. Some with Military resort discount believe they save by paying for dining out-of-pocket. We simply like the convenience of the DP, the refillable resort drink mug and the allowed use of snack credits for food at Epcot Food & Wine Festival booths.
