DDP and 7 night land/sea cruise! Help!

Hi all!
I've asked this question elsewhere but I think this is where i should have posted.
Can I get the DDP for the land part of my cruise? If yes, when should I book it (a month before, 2 weeks before, 48 hrs before?)
Loopholes, tips, suggestions are most welcome.

Reasonably certain land & sea packages are not eligible for the Disney Dining Plan - only Magic Your Way packages are (and DVC stays on points, no package required, but that's entirely separate).
