I know this is on a thread somewhere but I can't find it... I read the other day that when you make ADR and have the DDP and you give your credit card to hold the ressie (Hoop-dee-doo) that they don't actually charge your card unless you don't show but I just read the followin on allears...

Will I need a credit card to hold an Advance Reservation?

Some restaurants do require a credit card deposit. For a list of these, check out the PS Credit Card Policy page.

Dinner Shows (Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue, Mickey's Backyard Barbecue and Spirit of Aloha) and Cinderella's Royal Table require full payment at time of booking. Full refunds for cancellations up to 48 hours before show.

so my question is , if I have to pay in full at time of booking , how can I use the DDP for it?:confused3

I recently made reservations and they asked if we had the DDP. I said yes, and then was told I needed a credit card to guarantee it (it was not charged - made res on May 12th). Two of mine req'd CC guarantees - Cinderella's Royal Table (can cancel up to 24 hours prior) and Akershus (can cancel up to 48 hours prior).

So, if full payment is required now, it must be for those not on DDP.

thanks so much for clearing that up for me... that makes it a bit easier to plan now...thanks again

If you're doing the free DDP, move quickly. I wanted to change one reservation two days later (to go to Liberty Tree) and they had only one available dinner time left, at 8:30 pm. (2 adults/2 kids).

for what dates were your ADR's?

Aug 27-31. Dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table; Lunch at Akershus; Breakfast at Crystal Palace; and Dinner at Liberty Tree. It was the two dinners that were difficult.
